[02:39:41] mack: You're getting identical descriptions on different episodes of a series? That sounds about right for EIT listings, lol.
[06:23:40] Sabotender: lol, I reckoned as much 😛

[18:54:48] Sabotender: mack: So for EIT listings, trying to mark duplicates are nonsensical? Some of the descriptions do mention the synopsis of the episode. I reckoned that may be useful for comparison. It would be brilliant if some type of fingerprinting could be used, but that would involve much AI, heh.

[22:01:31] Scopeuk: there is a setting somewhere to tell the parser which fields to consider but it's been a long time since I went looking
[22:32:04] mack: Sabotender: It depends on the quality, if any, the broadcasters in your area provide. What shows up varies wildly. That's why Schedules Direct exists.
[22:52:59] Sabotender: mack: By "Schedules Direct", are you referring to individual scheduling episodes? For now, I just set a limit on the maximum number of recordings to maintain. You know, something sensible regarding how long I give myself to watch them. 😉
[23:01:15] mack: For each Video Source you have, there is an associated listings grabber. You are using EIT for your listings. Schedules Direct is another grabber. Better quality, more days in the future, but not free. (Is affordable)
[23:02:04] mack: There are some others, but for the US, SD is the least fuss.
