[04:00:57] | Sabotender: | mack: what is the red outline when I make some selections in the web scheduler? Does it mean that it is an invalid selection, or, a new selection? |
[04:59:25] | Sabotender: | well… Tomorrow will be the acid test, if my scheduled recordings will record series style, as I desired. 😉 |

[16:05:24] | mack: | Sabotender: I have no idea. I don't use it yet :) |
[16:05:40] | mack: | I've not upgraded versions in years. |
[16:09:50] | Sabotender: | haha, well, one thing that scares me, is that my scheduled recordings, don't show up in the upcomming recordings, though, it shows in EDT listing also, I try to schedule recording of the Simpsons, and it did not. It only seems to record what I schedule on the front end, which is disappointing. |
[16:18:13] | Sabotender: | mac, see. I want what you've got. What is that web app that you have that you use to schedule your recordings? Is it that MythWeb thing? if I can get this set up reliably, I will quickly purchase a 20 TB hard drive to store my season recordings. Right now, I have a one terabyte drive added, mostly, four testing purposes. |

[18:18:33] | Sabotender: | mack: finally discovered the issue why my next recordings were not appearing in the channel lineup. It was that blasted,"Filter Options" section, which were excluding all of the episodes. I unticked each box, saved, and they magically appeared. I still need to properly study all of those transcoding options. I don't think that the recordings are getting stripped… Yet. 😛 |
[19:30:36] | Sabotender: | please don't hate me. The learning curve is real. lol. |
[20:44:38] | Steve-Goodey: | At least #mythtv-users is getting some use on IRC, it's been a while. :-) |
[20:47:31] | GWG: | Where else is there? |
[20:59:33] | ** Sabotender chuckles politely. ** | |
[21:01:01] | Sabotender: | I was wondering, is it possible to Mark these episodes somehow to make them unique? Some of these programs have identical descriptions. I wish there were a way to go by a digital fingerprints, or something |
[21:03:13] | Sabotender: | I mean, with this homerun tuner, I am receiving more than satisfactory clear recordings. this project is very exciting |
[21:12:36] | Sabotender: | Hmm I am reading the wiki, and it seems that MythTV only really knows how to mark episodes with commercials, but, I don't notice any section how to actually remove them from the recording. Should I tick the box labelled, "transcoding"? |
[21:13:18] | Sabotender: | within the post processing options |

[21:30:35] | GWG: | I've been waiting for easier commercial cutting for years |
[21:34:33] | Sabotender: | Ah, I wonder if these markers are used for manually skipping between certain sections from within the recording? |

[21:46:15] | Sabotender: | This is so odd! I have a recording scheduled at the top of the hour, and when I checked the recording about two minutes in, within the, "upcoming" section, it read, "failing", so, immediately I performed several Google researches trying to discern the meaning of that error. I refreshed the backend again, and now it's reading, "recording". A few of the reasons why it's mentioned for the possible error, poor signal, et cetera, but, I |
[21:46:15] | Sabotender: | surmise, that this hard disc is taking its time to spin up, and become responsive. |
