[17:06:46] enyc: tgm4883: hrrm, puzzled by myth 0.28 build-dependencies ... the new 'php|php5' wants to install an active web server into build chroots etc etc!
[17:07:14] enyc: tgm4883: I'm fairly sure that should not be in the **build**-dependencies, *or* be replaced with "php-dev | php5-dev"
[17:09:16] tgm4883: enyc: I'd agree, but I'll wait until superm1 is around to ask him why he added that
[17:10:17] enyc: tgm4883: ok. i notice e.g. phpmyadmin doesn't build-depend on php at all, but then i guess there is no compiling to do, i guess some version of php could be important towards 'unit tests' or similar.

[19:19:05] bill6502: dekarl: seems to be the solution after the removal of cardinput: https://code.mythtv.org/cgit/mythtv/tree/myth . . . ck.cpp#n3013
[19:19:48] bill6502: but I don't have one, so I was attempting to get a forum user that has it working to update the Wiki
[19:20:35] dekarl: bill6502: yes, but why that was needed for diseqc is beyond my understanding as thats just one input
[19:21:26] dekarl: f00bar80: that is a super generic question. to have any chance on getting an answer you have to be a bit more specific
[19:25:24] bill6502: dekarl: the folks that are having issues have more than one diseqc and apparently had cardinputs for each
[19:27:11] abruanese (abruanese!~abruanese@li394-234.members.linode.com) has quit (Max SendQ exceeded)
[19:27:45] dekarl: bill6502: i understood that they have a basic setup with one 8 input switch (2 satellites, hi/lo, h/v)
[19:28:52] dekarl: but then I only know people with one sat hooked up
[19:30:14] bill6502: that's much more that I know, maybe the key is his "second LNB missing in Input Connections" comment
[19:30:34] bill6502: in any case, I'll drop off as it seems one user has a solution and can help the other

[20:12:31] MitchCapper: All of the services API's have a version number in them however I don't see any api call that returns this information is there a way to get the version of the API so we would have an idea of featureset?
[20:13:24] dekarl1 (dekarl1!~dekarl@mythtv/developer/dekarl) has joined #mythtv
[20:14:40] MitchCapper: best I have seen would be something like hitting http://127.0.0.1:6544/Dvr/wsdl and grepping for the description, but i figured there must be a better way to get the current version
[20:15:34] dekarl (dekarl!~dekarl@mythtv/developer/dekarl) has quit (Ping timeout: 240 seconds)
[20:26:43] bill6502: MitchCapper: Dvr/version
[20:27:03] MitchCapper: thanks bill:)
[20:27:56] bill6502: np, thanks for you Get/Set Bookmark
[20:32:10] MitchCapper: hope to have more coming soon, for one I wanted to try and figure out how to do one for videos but as it uses byte offset that doesn't work well with HLS so to allow a duration based bookmark i would have to open the file in the backend to get the byte offset which seems poor.

[23:40:52] f00bar80: dekarl1, i want to be able to monitor udp streams , latency , jitter and bottelneck wize .. any suggestions
[23:49:26] gary_buhrmaster: foobar80: Full packet capture with hardware timing insertion for the packet capture is the most accurate. There are vendors that do that for a living (at prices that if you have to ask, you cannot afford them)[spirent and ixia are some]
[23:50:01] gary_buhrmaster: f00bar80: In any case, these are probably questions best asked/discussed on networking forums.
