| [22:31:26] | gary_buhrmaster: | gigem: The problem is (or at least could have been) is that the old school data transfer is via UDP, and there was nothing obvious for the HDHR to notice you stopped receiving, so if you died, or segfaulted (or network seperation) the tuner remained locked. |
| [22:32:43] | gary_buhrmaster: | gigem: The newer HTTP interface (only available on the HDHR3-CC (Prime) or HDHR4/HDTC models) support not only HTTP, but "dynamic" tuner selection, in that if you ask for a stream, the device will select one of the available tuners and then lock it and use it. |
