It should be possible to play all the audio and video packets up to timecode X and then jump and start playing all the audio and video packets from timecode Y regardless of whether the audio and video packets are physically next to each other. |

| [17:05:14] | peper03: | I think using the PCR would help to make things more bullet-proof, though. There was a series I watched last year that had some audio glitch in the AC3 track each week. I never actually investigated in detail what the glitch was, but the audio glitch caused a video glitch because we were trying to slow down/speed up the video to re-sync. |
| [17:09:27] | peper03: | I had an issue with DVD playback due to timecode discontinuities (obviosuly happens a lot when navigating a DVD) which was quite nicely fixed by detecting the discontinuity and applying a fixup to the timecodes so that they always increased. |
