[19:50:29] jams: stuartm, is it possible to enable outlining of areas for debugging? Got some overlapping fields and I"m not sure which one is the cause
[19:50:38] jams: tried to ask in themeing but appears i'm muted
[19:51:31] stichnot: stuartm: here's a random idea about Upcoming Recordings. With the awesomeness of the scheduler, one of the few times I have to do actual thinking is when I have conflicts. It's very hard for me to visualize which shows are conflicting with which other shows, and more importantly which shows I should cancel/deprioritize for best effect. I think it would help a lot if I had a timeline...
[19:51:33] stichnot: ...view, i.e. timelines for all 5 of my tuners laid out in parallel, broken into chunks of time annotated with either the specific recording or idle. The conflicts would be much more apparent, though it might be harder to visualize specific problems where the broadcaster has made it 31 or 61 minutes.
[19:52:09] stichnot: I guess I'm thinking of something like a guide grid where the rows are tuners rather than channels.
[19:53:54] stichnot: jams: there are jump points "Toggle Show Widget Borders" and "Toggle Show Widget Names" which might do what you want (but I doubt they are regularly tested so there could be code rot)
[19:54:15] jams: hmm i will check that out
[19:54:39] danielk22: stuartm: I do not need to think about the tuner question? Generally broken stuff is filtered out, but I'd need to look at the code to answer your question

[19:57:31] stuartm: it would be nice if it wasn't filtered out, but instead given a 'failed' status, that would make it easy to highlight the problem in the frontend or webfrontend
[19:59:10] stichnot: jams: good to know they're still working :)

[21:30:41] stuartm: I blame a chanserv bug
[21:30:42] jams: hmm
[21:33:46] stuartm: superm1: downloads page is out of date, indicates the last release was 2011 – http://www.mythbuntu.org/downloads
[21:34:02] stuartm: err, tgm4883 ^^
[21:34:18] superm1: stuartm: you don't see the button to download 12.04.3 above that historical downloads section?
[21:34:32] tgm4883: stuartm, thats historical downloads
[21:34:45] tgm4883: eg. not current, and likely not supported anymore
[21:34:56] tgm4883: but yea, do you not see the download 12.04.3 button?
[21:34:57] stuartm: tgm4883: well the text saying so is pretty damn small
[21:35:05] superm1: although we're not putting all our point releases in that section for 12.04
[21:35:08] superm1: maybe we should have been
[21:35:11] tgm4883: hmm
[21:35:20] stuartm: and no, I don't see the text on the button, as it's white text on a light grey button here
[21:35:31] tgm4883: should be black text
[21:35:59] superm1: what browser and any funny extensions you're running that could muck with things?
[21:36:41] stuartm: superm1: there's no css color defined, it's using the system default
[21:36:41] jheizer: I see standard black text button here on Chrome/Windows
[21:37:10] stuartm: if you're system text is black (standard) you'll see black, otherwise white/pink/blue etc
[21:37:11] superm1: should be looking like this https://www.dropbox.com/sh/vthnxezbssaw6fb/qL . . . ythbuntu.png
[21:37:31] stuartm: superm1: needs a "color: #000000;"
[21:37:38] superm1: tgm4883: ^
[21:37:42] tgm4883: hmm
[21:37:47] tgm4883: not sure I can do that, but I'll look
[21:38:16] stuartm: very common mistake, very annoying one – if you specify a background colour for an input (inc buttons) you also need to specify the foreground color
[21:38:37] tgm4883: superm1, is there a release schedule for 12.04 point releases?
[21:39:46] jheizer: Isn't it using the browser style sheet for both the back and fore colors?
[21:39:47] superm1: tgm4883: yeah there is https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PrecisePangolin/ReleaseSchedule
[21:41:56] tgm4883: ok, historical downloads is fixed now
[21:43:16] tgm4883: stuartm, are any other things looking odd?
[21:44:36] superm1: tgm4883: i notice on firefox the historical downloads automatically expands for some reason
[21:44:39] tgm4883: stuartm, can you refresh, it should be fixed I think
[21:44:56] tgm4883: superm1, I blame FF
[21:45:17] stuartm: tgm4883: otherwise fine, although that collapsable Historical Downloads and Download Troubleshooting bit don't work in Firefox or Opera
[21:45:53] stuartm: tgm4883: if it was just FF I would too, but it seems that only Chrome renders it correctly here
[21:46:21] tgm4883: hmm
[21:46:29] tgm4883: it's just a <details> html
[21:46:56] jheizer: Agreed on it being already expanded with no > in FF on windows. Works on Chrome.
[21:47:11] jheizer: Stupid Web
[21:47:30] tgm4883: looks like FF doesn't support HTML5's <details> yet
[21:47:59] stuartm: tgm4883: there's no doctype declaration, so it's not recognising it as html 5
[21:48:21] tgm4883: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=591737
[21:48:55] stuartm: although you're right, seems details support is thin on the ground – just Chrome and Safari (not opera, FF or IE)

[22:01:43] stichnot: skd5aner: fyi, the other day we were talking about the "First Episodes" recording rule and restricting it to "interesting" channels.
