[16:34:38] gigem: skd5aner: You have to use a search rule, of which, the custom search is the most likely. If the program you want is in the EPG, find the one that begins the cycle, press MENU, Recording Options then Custom Edit. After you're satisfied with the custom matching (i.e. the Test button shows the right programs), choose Record and fill out the rest of the rule. If the program isn't in the EPG, you need to go

[16:42:48] skd5aner: for example, sportscenter airs on something like 5 different ESPN networks, many many times a day. I want it to only record 1 a day, within a certain window (which the custom rule defines)... however, if I try to set up a new rule with a similiar logic, I can't figure out how to do a "find 1 a day" thing

[20:48:31] stuartm: and yes, I intend to create a mobile version/template/theme
[21:01:37] stuartm: webfrontend appeals

[22:42:53] stichnot: skd5aner: line 572 of the patch, "m_programInfos[i][j] = m_programInfos[i][j];" isn't terribly useful and is probably responsible for the behavior you noticed
[22:48:56] stuartm: !
[22:55:16] stuartm: discussion in -users reminded me that we really need to implement support for built-in amplifiers for 0.28
[22:55:37] stuartm: or whatever we're calling the next release
[22:59:29] stuartm: jpabq: might be interesting to tie that into the signal monitor, turning on/off the amplifier automatically, although in practice most people should be fine with it permanently on (or in rare cases, off)

[23:37:21] jevidl: I've been reading through the manual, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to use MythTV the way I'd like. Is it possible to run a backend server without a front end service, or is the front end required to schedule recordings and the like.
[23:37:49] jevidl: so very sorry, I missed that this is the dev channel until right after I sent that. I will head to mythtv-users
[23:37:54] jevidl (jevidl!~jevidl@99-170-101-19.lightspeed.livnmi.sbcglobal.net) has left #mythtv ()
