[00:31:06] jpabq: jhall_: I have not tried to run with your patch yet. I am still trying to wrap my head around the data flow in the iptv recorder. My system is recording now, so I will likely have to wait until tomorrow to actually try this.
[00:54:24] MythBuild: build #192 of master-linux-64bit-clang is complete: Failure [4failed compile core] Build details are at http://code.mythtv.org/buildbot/builders/mast . . . g/builds/192 blamelist: Daniel Kristjansson <danielk@cuymedia.net >
[00:57:15] danielk221: Weird. Why is it using g++ on the clang builder?
[01:05:56] jhall_: ok
[01:06:17] jhall_: well I kindda made a separate path for the http flow since I do not use UDP sockets to read.
[01:06:59] jhall_: I'm sure it needs some cleaning up like properly destroying objects after channel is done tuning (if it already doesn't do it correctly)
[01:07:30] jhall_: but yeah it is a bit difficult to grock on the first pass.
[01:08:03] jhall_: because NetStream reads in a different thread, it sends signals when data is available.

[01:10:38] jhall_: I think the shoutcast code might use this NetSTream API

[22:20:15] gigem: I posted a slightly different version of this the other evening and no one commented. If you have an opinion, let me hear it.
[22:20:17] gigem: Can anyone think of a good reason to allow a user to open multiple, nested instances of GuideGrid, ProgFinder, ProgList or ViewScheduled? I'm adding some more ways to call GuideGrid, specifically, from ViewScheduled and ProgList. I think it might be wise to prevent the user from opening an unbounded number of these screens. For example, if the user has a GuideGrid opened, they can't open another GuideGrid
[22:20:19] gigem: from another nested screen. The same goes for ProgFinder and ViewScheduled. ProgList would work similarly, but would be a little trickier because of it's multiple uses.
[22:20:21] gigem: Also, can someone give me a primer on if and how embedded video should work in these situations? IIRC, some screens pause the video if they don't have a window for the video whild others let it keep playing. What should happen if a screen without a window opens a new screen which has a window? After some more code studying, it appears the current code doesn't really support nesting screens with embedded
[22:20:23] gigem: video. The way the events are used sent and received, it will only work right for only the first child screen. That could be fixed, if we want to support it.
[22:37:17] stuartm: gigem: no good reason to allow it that I can think of
