[02:56:50] stichnot: tonsofpcs: At playback, PVR-150 recordings are parsed as MPEG-PS and use the code in external/FFmpeg/libavformat/mpeg.c, whereas HDHR and HDPVR recordings are parsed as MPEG-TS and use the code in external/FFmpeg/libavformat/mpegts-mythtv.c (which is based on mpegts.c).
[03:15:00] tonsofpcs: gigem: interesting new 'feature' I've found.... Just scheduled The Following through MythWeb, "any time on this channel" everything else default. It's decided not to record monday at 9pm (no other things recording then) and to record friday at 9pm (two other things recording during that time slot)...
[03:19:23] tonsofpcs: looking at logs where it goes through things, I see 01 (friday) appearing but not 28 (monday, tomorrow)

[08:25:40] kenni: stichnot, jya, stuartm: If the uber-patch works for 0.26-fixes, that seems like a good compromise until a proper fix has been implemented. That would make both HD-PVR and non-HD-PVR users happy. It should of course only be for 0.26-fixes, not master.
[08:26:57] jya: kenni: it's so narrowed though about what frame we're going to find… i'm fairly certain we're going to see amendment in the next few days about type of frames we get depending on the country
[08:27:35] kenni: jya: ok
[08:28:00] jya: but, yes… as an ugly workaround for the time being
[09:34:39] stuartm: kenni: as jya notes there's no guarantee that it's actually going to work for other channels and since the problem isn't only affecting BBC HD ...

[18:28:10] skd5aner: jheizer: it doesn't imapct everyone... it tends to occur anytime there's a glitch in a recording which could be caused by the HD-PVR or the STB... as soon as there's some corruption, the buffer drops and doesn't recover... also, you have to be leveraging vdpau or opengl
[18:30:25] jheizer: skd5aner: ah ok thanks. do use vdpau btu will admint mote that many interesting satellite recordings through my hdpvr have recorded lately.
[18:30:49] jheizer: skd5aner: ah ok thanks. Do use vdpau but will admint not that many interesting satellite recordings through my hdpvr have recorded lately.
[18:30:52] skd5aner: stuartm, jya: was #11159 fixed in master in a way that doesn't negatively impact the other playback symptoms the patch for 0.26-fixes caused?
[18:30:52] ** MythLogBot http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/11159 **
[18:32:37] skd5aner: I'd love 0.26 to be "fixed" for everyone, but it'd be really bad if this problem persisted in 0.27 once it's released
[18:33:22] skd5aner: wasn't sure if your ffmpeg merge in master helped or not
[18:34:43] stuartm: the same fix was applied to both master and -fixes
[18:35:46] stuartm: we need an all new fix
[18:41:48] tonsofpcs: jheizer: I'll counter with "pledge now" :)
[18:44:07] skd5aner: jheizer: have you go the proxy stuff working yet?
[18:44:42] jheizer: It works great on the iPad, not so much on the kindle.
[18:45:08] skd5aner: android in general, or just specifically the kindle?
[18:45:14] jheizer: swapped my routers firmware from dd-wrt to tomatoe as I think it may have been causing some of the problems. Have not had the time to do any more testing lately.
[18:45:29] jheizer: haven't done long term tests on my phone yet.
[18:45:38] jheizer: gets hard when it can take 20+ minutes to break at times
[18:45:44] skd5aner: jheizer: I was thinking about giving it a go soon – seems like a great solution to externalize without having to worry about VPN – which I'm guessing is one of your objectives
[18:46:18] jheizer: yeah, totally. Well personally, we use it for the wife while feeding baby at night. No external usage at all from us. haha
[18:46:49] jheizer: but it seemed like a major shortfall of using any native app and something extra I could supply being a web server.
[18:46:59] jheizer: that and to be able to support any device.
[18:47:03] skd5aner: Yea... exactly
[18:47:17] jheizer: baby has slowed down updates but added in pre transcoding last week
[18:47:25] jheizer: as something with .26 fixes killed my transcoding power
[18:47:35] jheizer: I cannot do ATSC > real time anymore
[18:47:46] skd5aner: I like the native mobile app model, but honestly – I can appreciate yours a little more for that exactly reasoning – abstract and no real device config
[18:48:29] jheizer: next steps for me are jwplayter integration for desktop/laptop users then i'll release .6
[18:48:39] jheizer: after that... live tv...
[18:49:33] jheizer: the .26 transcode thing has been a killer for me though
[18:50:07] jheizer: but I can't nail down what happened as the transcode code looks very similar and the HLSThreads settging is still being used
[18:50:19] jheizer: but I went from 500% cpu transcodes to 280%
[18:50:25] jheizer: AMD X6
[18:51:51] jheizer: General FYI Full video support, send to FE for playback with basic remote, Video folders, etc things addes recently that may have not been noticed
[19:00:53] jheizer: skd5aner: doing a galaxy S 3 test for you. Built in player keeps picking the audio only stream. Dice is playing so far. Will report back later.
[19:02:15] skd5aner: good, cause that's the phone I have ;)
[19:02:33] skd5aner: which provider? you running jellybean 4.1 yet?
[19:02:40] jheizer: ATT
[19:02:41] jheizer: and yes
[19:02:44] skd5aner: cool
[19:02:56] jheizer: built in fires right up on no proxy stream
[19:03:04] jheizer: no idea what causes it to mess up
[19:03:24] jheizer: have written like 30 different proxy versions with different buffer sizes
[19:03:43] jheizer: If the stream is fully transcoded those at least you can just hit play and skip back there again.
[19:05:23] ** jheizer is playing kardashians :( **
[19:05:33] jheizer: damn first recording in the list that was transcoded

[19:58:58] tonsofpcs: oh, hey, I think your schedule fix may have fixed the 4 channels at once issue too, gigem. I'll test by leaving livetv running tomorrow but I have a recording on each '.1' tomorrow at 2000Z-0500.
[19:59:54] jheizer: skd5aner: Watched entire show on dice player through proxy no problem. Even roamed the house, made lunch, got ups package, went to garage, etc (on wifi)

[20:47:46] tonsofpcs: how do I get to it from my cell? (ssh forwarding is a non-starter... VPN might be in the cards)
[20:49:11] jheizer: port forward from your router to webserver

[20:49:51] jheizer: no need for VPN or SSH then
[20:50:27] jheizer: but you can do it via those means as well if you would like. For example if you VPN in the acces it via lan ip and leave video proxying off.
