| [03:33:58] | RavenII: | I think I realize the issue now...the folder in which the sysctl writes to is in my user's home folder, and I saw an error earlier saying that it can't open the stream. I'm going to create it in the mythtv folder and see what happesn. |
| [03:34:06] | mack-: | off-the-wall guess is you've run mythbackend as your user, and configured it after you've configured it previously running as mythtv user, and in that time period your broadcast frequencies have changed. |
| [03:36:32] | mack-: | I've gotten Channel Unavailable message in kodi when mythbackend had lost connection, but also when frequency in the db was wrong. |

| [03:43:47] | RavenII: | mack-: you were right, I was running the mythbackend-setup gui as my user....when I selected the "Myth" folder in my own home folder, it accepted it because it was able to write to it, but the backend couldn't because it was being ran as mythtv. I created a folder with the appropriate permissions inside the mythtv home folder, and voila. |
