| [08:19:23] | tmiw: | hi all. so I managed to get Kodi's MythTV plugin to run on my 4th gen Apple TV. unfortunately the Apple TV doesn't seem to be optimized to handle MPEG2 (which is what my HDHomeRun tuner gives my backend), so anything HD doesn't play well to say the least until I trigger a transcoding job to mpeg4 using mythweb. |

I got a Hauppauge quad pcie tuner (but just dumps mpeg2 streams also) to augment my setup and set my HDHR to lower priority. |

It was fine on the Cube for many months, then a software update slowed mpeg2 playback. Another recent upgrade seems to have fixed it, though. I haven't tried the ATV4 lately. |
