[00:03:38] arrrghhh: hey all. I had a manual 'custom' recording setup for a show. It seems to 'drift' channels depending on the time of year, so I'm try to delete that manual recording and make a more automated one that will record based on the listing and day/time
[00:04:19] arrrghhh: however, it seems the old 'manual' recording is burned into the program guide... there is literally no guide data weeks out except for this show. I have it set to 'do not record' – what else do I need to do to remove it?
[00:04:53] [R]: go to th recording schedules
[00:04:54] [R]: and delete it
[00:10:57] arrrghhh: [R], I did... it's no longer in the recording schedules section
[00:12:04] arrrghhh: that's the thing, I've done this with a few shows now and none had a problem except this one... I am not sure what the deal is. I've tried restsarting the backend, it's persisted through a few upgrades although it looks like there's a new one I need to apply.
[00:12:08] [R]: if its manually set to do not record, it might stil lshow up because those are atcually new recording entries
[00:12:22] arrrghhh: hm. how do I remove that? lol
[00:12:22] [R]: you need to delete those too
[00:12:32] arrrghhh: it's not listed in the schedule area
[00:12:45] [R]: i always just use the recording rules in mythweb
[00:13:20] arrrghhh: I click on "Recording Schedules" – where is the rules section?
[00:13:24] arrrghhh: I'm on 0.27.5
[00:14:10] [R]: i think tahts the word
[00:14:15] [R]: it should list all your "do not record"
[00:15:42] louisdk (louisdk!~louisdk@static-5-103-130-65.seas-nve.net) has joined #mythtv-users
[00:15:49] arrrghhh: yea I can't seem to find that section... at least I don't see anywhere the do not record listings would be
[00:15:54] arrrghhh: this would be the only show there AFAIk
[00:16:34] [R]: each thing in the recording schedule is a rule
[00:16:58] arrrghhh: so the show is Meet the Press on Sundays
[00:17:10] arrrghhh: and I don't see MTP anywhere in my "Recording Schedule" page
[00:18:13] [R]: weird
[00:18:37] arrrghhh: yea it's like something is 'stuck' with that show... I had all sorts of issues getting it to record last week
[00:20:03] arrrghhh: can I clear the schedule db or something? would be a pain but if I have to setup the shows again it would be at least a solution... I spose I could just blow away the entire db and reinstall myth, but seems a bit drastic

[00:45:02] Jay2k1: i'll have a look into my DB, maybe I'll find out how to clear it or how to remove that entry
[00:45:10] arrrghhh: Jay2k1, thx
[00:45:24] arrrghhh: I am going to poke around myself, just not sure what to look for at this point :)

[00:50:24] Jay2k1: arrrghhh: it seems the table in question is called "jobqueue"
[00:51:49] arrrghhh: Jay2k1, hm I did a select * from jobqueue; and 20 entries were returned... I'm not sure what I'm looking for, there is nothing in the future
[00:52:13] Jay2k1: ok, what about the "record" table
[00:53:29] arrrghhh: I was going to ask about recordmatch
[00:53:32] arrrghhh: let me look at record
[00:54:45] arrrghhh: it's not in the record table... these seem to be the same list as what I see in 'recording schedules' tho
[00:55:42] Jay2k1: yeah
[00:55:54] Jay2k1: and the show that's being recorded over and over doesn't show up there?
[00:56:03] Jay2k1: i didn't read all of the previous conversation
[00:56:14] arrrghhh: so basically I created a manual program for a show
[00:56:19] arrrghhh: it seems to shift channels depending on the time of year
[00:56:30] arrrghhh: so I tried removing the manual program and add a more automated one...
[00:56:50] arrrghhh: however, the manual one is 'stuck' in the listing – it shows as 'never record'
[00:57:15] arrrghhh: I can not seem to remove it from the 'Listing' page so I can just setup an automated recording based on the title
[00:57:58] Jay2k1: aah
[00:58:00] Jay2k1: ok
[00:58:22] Jay2k1: the manual one, i.e. the old one, did you add it by title?
[00:58:34] arrrghhh: I believe so yes
[00:59:55] Jay2k1: so a possible way to find it would be to search all columns in all tables for that title name
[01:01:12] Jay2k1: hmm
[01:05:31] arrrghhh: yea that's what I did sorta
[01:06:16] arrrghhh: just did a mysqldump and am searching for meet the press... found a few entries in the oldprogram and program tables, but none are in the future... hmmm
[01:07:49] Jay2k1: silly question but you already restarted the backend/rebooted the server right?
[01:07:55] arrrghhh: yep
[01:08:00] arrrghhh: I've upgraded a few times too
[01:08:07] arrrghhh: minor 'fixes' updates within 0.27.5, but still
[01:09:00] Jay2k1: yeah i'm always updating to 0.27.5-fixes
[01:09:08] blahdodo: Hi, Is is possible to anchor search in mythtweb/Custom/Title Search to match that exact title rather than a title containing the string e.g. ^Blah$ ?
[01:12:41] Jay2k1: arrrghhh: program and oldprogram is just program data though and have nothing to do with recordings... if it's visible as "never record" it should have this exception somewhere in the DB
[01:12:45] Jay2k1: weird
[01:12:45] arrrghhh: Jay2k1, ah I think i pinpointed 3 entries
[01:13:00] arrrghhh: but yea it's all in program/oldprogram
[01:15:04] arrrghhh: Jay2k1, can I 'safely' clear out all of the 'program' table? or is there some way I can just remove the one line?
[01:15:25] Jay2k1: it wouldn't make much sense
[01:15:28] arrrghhh: ah the second part of that question just shows what a sql noob I am, ofc I can
[01:15:35] Jay2k1: you're probably using XMLTV or EIT
[01:15:39] arrrghhh: EIT
[01:15:45] arrrghhh: I am not using SD
[01:15:51] Jay2k1: as soon as the guide updates, the entry will be back
[01:15:57] arrrghhh: you'd think so
[01:16:02] arrrghhh: but that didn't happen last week
[01:16:11] Jay2k1: i've cleared the program table myself (along with eitcache)
[01:16:18] Jay2k1: when i had trouble with EIT
[01:16:27] arrrghhh: ok
[01:16:29] Jay2k1: you can safely do that, at least it didn't do anything bad when i did it
[01:16:46] arrrghhh: can you give me a quick rundown on how to do those things?
[01:18:05] Jay2k1: DELETE FROM program;
[01:18:40] Jay2k1: i'd stop mythtv-backend before
[01:18:48] Jay2k1: you can also DELETE FROM eit_cache;
[01:20:55] arrrghhh: perfect thx

[01:22:55] arrrghhh: dani_, I personally like the external IP solutions like HDHomeRun
[01:23:17] dani_: i need one that's dvb arrrghhh
[01:23:50] arrrghhh: yea I'm not sure what HDHomeRun is capable of... they had a solution for me, and I know they have a few different options.
[01:23:52] arrrghhh: good luck
[01:24:59] arrrghhh: Jay2k1, that seemed to fix it thanks. No longer is there a phantom MTP sitting out there tomorrow in neverneverland
[01:25:31] Jay2k1: :D
[01:25:51] Jay2k1: now i have to put on enter sandman
[01:26:03] Jay2k1: i still don't understand how that could happen
[01:26:16] Jay2k1: but well, i'm just another user, no developer or anything
[01:26:21] arrrghhh: lol I don't either, but hey it's fixed and it wasn't too much of a pain
[01:26:34] Jay2k1: does your guide data already populate?
[01:26:41] arrrghhh: it's starting to
[01:26:47] arrrghhh: I have 1 channel populated
[01:27:22] Jay2k1: cool
[01:27:27] Jay2k1: then everything should be fine
[01:27:40] arrrghhh: alright. yea a couple more channels are trickling in
[01:27:53] arrrghhh: it's weird... some channels I get like 3 days worth of data. Most only give 6–8 hrs
[01:30:04] Jay2k1: yeah it depends on the channel, same here in germany.
[01:30:26] Jay2k1: most channels have 5 days, some have 2 weeks
[01:30:54] arrrghhh: damn I wish most channels had 5 days haha
[01:31:13] arrrghhh: I've found at least 8 hours is good enough tho
[01:31:36] Jay2k1: well with 5 days minimum, i don't need to have a recording every day
[01:31:50] Jay2k1: 2–3 days without powering on is no problem
[01:32:00] arrrghhh: ah my BE is always on
[01:32:31] Jay2k1: i have one combined FE/BE sitting below my TV, that's all
[01:34:03] Jay2k1: it fits perfectly https://www.dropbox.com/s/ss5tgrgse9c7e2d/201 . . . .28.jpg?dl=0
[01:34:24] arrrghhh: haha, nice. just looks like a sub
[01:34:35] Jay2k1: my sub is a bit bigger than that
[01:35:25] Jay2k1: it doesn't need to permanently run though, so to save energy it only wakes to record and then shuts down
[01:35:55] arrrghhh: yea I should probably sort out WOL on my router and shutdown the server
[01:36:06] arrrghhh: I don't need it running 24/7, I'm just lazy and it's easier haha
[01:36:28] Jay2k1: the only downside is that i can't power it from my remote control, but i have a wake-on-lan widget on my smartphone homescreen for that... or i just get up and push the button on the case
[01:36:34] Jay2k1: hehe
[01:37:23] Jay2k1: does your router block WOL packets or why do you have to "sort out"
[01:37:52] arrrghhh: dani_, googling DVB that's pretty generic... DVB-T? DVB-S? This page seems to list compatible hardware. https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/User_Manual:DVB
[01:39:09] arrrghhh: Jay2k1, I haven't looked into setting up WOL in a while... I'd need to think about the times I would want it on/off as well. Right now it's nice not having to worry since it's 'always on' but I spose midnight to 6am would be fine for the most part
[01:39:35] Jay2k1: ah. yeah a few minutes daily runtime would probably be advisable if some channels only offer 8 hours of EIT
[01:40:13] Jay2k1: setting up WOL is easy though, if the board supports it. it has to be enabled in the BIOS
[01:40:16] Jay2k1: that's all
[01:40:38] arrrghhh: right
[01:40:40] Jay2k1: then you need a WOL program, like an app on a smartphone, where you enter the NIC's MAC address and you're all set
[01:40:43] arrrghhh: I had it setup a looong time ago
[01:41:21] Jay2k1: you also need to figure out how to set the BIOS's wakeup time via software
[01:41:47] Jay2k1: the mythtv wiki is helpful in this regard afair
[01:41:59] arrrghhh: yea the server does a lot more than just myth be
[01:42:06] Jay2k1: i see
[01:42:09] arrrghhh: but still, there are times where I don't really need it
[01:42:15] Jay2k1: mine doesn't
[01:42:25] Jay2k1: my NAS does the server-ish things
[01:52:30] dani_: arrrghhh, im from australia
[01:52:36] dani_: any ideas which one i will need?
[01:52:56] arrrghhh: dani_, again it depends. are you doing cable? satellite? over-the-air?
[01:53:08] dani_: over the air arrrghhh
[01:53:57] arrrghhh: dani_, so why can't you use a hdhomerun extend? that's what I use, I'm in the US doing OTA

[01:55:31] arrrghhh: but I use the hdhomerun extend for OTA broadcasts.
[01:55:45] dani_: i need a DVB-T card
[01:56:17] arrrghhh: yes, the hdhomerun extend does dvb-t
[01:56:28] arrrghhh: I'm not sure if there's certain regions it doesn't work in tho
[01:57:00] dani_: ok i've looked into it and it's hella expensive
[01:57:22] arrrghhh: $100? lol ok
[01:58:08] dani_: + ive only got one Network port
[01:58:40] arrrghhh: alright well I guess google for cards. I had an old haupaugge but I wanted HD
[01:59:06] dani_: what do you think i should google?
[01:59:17] arrrghhh: well that link I sent earlier would be a good place to start
[01:59:24] arrrghhh: it had a list of compatible hardware
[02:00:02] arrrghhh: also if you don't have a pci slot you're kinda limited
[02:00:06] arrrghhh: what were you thinking, USB?
[02:01:26] dani_: arrrghhh, pciexpress is fine
[02:03:41] arrrghhh: well googling for pci-e dvb-t cards would be a good place to start then :)
[02:03:59] arrrghhh: I've mentioned what I use, that's what I have experience with... Good luck.
[02:05:37] dani_: what do they mean by support: "yes, by vendor"?
[02:06:33] arrrghhh: did you click on the link?
[02:06:51] dani_: i did yes
[02:06:55] dani_: im searching elsewhere now
[02:07:11] arrrghhh: so that's what it means... not sure what you want explained lol
[02:07:20] dani_: ??

[02:20:36] membiblio: Demodulation of something ?
[02:20:41] membiblio: Which card?
[02:20:58] membiblio: arrrghhh you watch Black Sails? :)
[02:21:11] arrrghhh: membiblio, I have not heard of that show
[02:21:21] ** arrrghhh googles **
[02:21:27] arrrghhh: ah starz
[02:21:56] membiblio: It is Starz and just started second (?) season. Good Show. I recommend if you can get it. I'm moist with anticipation for Starz to offer a android app like HBO.
[02:22:16] arrrghhh: actually looks like s3, but yea
[02:22:21] membiblio: So dani_ which card are you looking at?
[02:22:43] membiblio: I love my silicon dust tuner just keeps working and working. A little miracle :)
[02:23:04] dani_: membiblio, DVBSky T982
[02:23:14] dani_: im starting to look around at USB devices
[02:23:20] arrrghhh: yea that hdhomerun I bought just had an issue with the cheapo fan being loud. put in a noctua fan, it's dead silent now
[02:23:49] membiblio: I can't say I recommend USB devices. For me – they 'fall offline' and need to be un/re plugged :(
[02:24:35] dani_: what do you mean fall offline membiblio ?
[02:24:46] dani_: they stop beiing detected?
[02:25:12] arrrghhh: yea, stop working / being seen by the OS I'd guess
[02:25:12] dani_: can you recommend a DVB-T pci Express card for me at all membiblio ?
[02:25:15] membiblio: They just 'stop working' and need to be physically unplugged and then plugged back in. Sometimes the usb port just does not work.
[02:25:33] membiblio: dani_ I'm looking now at the card you are looking at.
[02:25:51] dani_: im after something that works out of the box
[02:27:41] dani_: the list of USB devices far outnumbers the Pci Express devices for some reason
[02:27:43] membiblio: That card looks nice and pci should be really stable. I'm in US and am accessing the over the air / terrestrial atsc broadcast. So we are in different markets. Is DVB universal or just European satellites?
[02:28:53] membiblio: Are you going to use this card for Satellite or for FreeView and OTA UK/EU/Asia?
[02:29:03] arrrghhh: Australia membiblio
[02:29:10] arrrghhh: and DVB-T
[02:29:26] arrrghhh: dani_, USB is more 'universal', so I'm sure it's easier to make cheap USB tuner cards
[02:29:31] arrrghhh: plus laptops etc
[02:29:59] dani_: do you think usb will be easier to get going arrrghhh, membiblio ??
[02:30:12] membiblio: Ok for DVB-T – PLEASE – look at silicon dust offerings – they use Ethernet – and the new units transcode internally delivering to your DVR a h.264 stream which is infinitely manageable
[02:30:12] dani_: i dont mind unplugging from time to time
[02:30:32] dani_: membiblio, i have only one ethernet and it's used
[02:30:40] membiblio: And you can find used stuff on ebay if you don't mind getting MPEG2
[02:30:58] membiblio: Just plug the silicon dust ANYWHERE on your network – a hub port
[02:31:04] arrrghhh: dani_, might want to look into adding a cheap switch or hub
[02:31:16] arrrghhh: or re-use an old router, set it up as a switch
[02:31:19] membiblio: It grabs a ip via dhcp and after that it is 'automagic'
[02:31:47] arrrghhh: membiblio, lol I just realized we are talking about the same thing
[02:31:53] arrrghhh: I forgot the company that makes it is called silicon dust
[02:31:57] membiblio: :)
[02:32:07] membiblio: arrrghh do you have a silicon dust?
[02:32:14] arrrghhh: yea, I love my HDHomeRun Extend
[02:32:15] arrrghhh: ^^
[02:32:45] arrrghhh: I swapped the fan cuz the stock one was ridiculously noisy... other than that little wrinkle, the device is really great

[02:33:17] membiblio: Wait – yours has a fan?
[02:33:36] arrrghhh: yep, it was tiny and loud when it kicked on
[02:33:39] membiblio: Mine has no fan.
[02:33:50] membiblio: Hmm weird but interesting :)
[02:33:53] arrrghhh: I was thinking it was just dust and off balance... couldn't solve it
[02:33:57] dani_: this is what im looking at.... https://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-T_ . . . _USB_Devices
[02:34:02] arrrghhh: just swapped it with a 40mm noctua fan. silent now
[02:34:13] dani_: can someone please recommend one or two of these at all please?
[02:34:17] arrrghhh: membiblio, which model do you have?
[02:34:33] membiblio: dani go to http://silicondust.com and then choose Australia at the top
[02:35:13] membiblio: Then choose products and pull down till you get to AUSTRALIA
[02:35:26] membiblio: Look for HDHR4–2DT(AU)
[02:35:28] arrrghhh: dani_, neither of us are recommending those USB cards, but anything with built-in kernel support should be fine. Haupaugge is a good name.
[02:35:36] membiblio: NO!
[02:35:40] arrrghhh: lol
[02:35:43] membiblio: That is my opinion.
[02:36:05] membiblio: But I started with a Hauppaugge and I'll just send it to you for free if you want it :)
[02:36:09] arrrghhh: I would agree, but dani_ seems insisent that there are no free ethernet ports and doesn't want to expand...
[02:36:34] arrrghhh: jeez that list of USB devices is huge
[02:36:40] membiblio: So that HDHR4–2DT will work with mythtv

[02:37:18] membiblio: And the hauppauge usb thing – save me the recycle fee :)
[02:37:28] arrrghhh: haha trying to clean out your attic of old computer parts?  :P

[02:38:12] membiblio: We have to pay to recycle stuff with lead in it. Not expensive. But if I were a Republican I'd just throw it in the garbage and be done with it. Clean conscience :)
[02:38:25] arrrghhh: heh
[02:38:42] membiblio: Are you watching our political debates?
[02:39:02] arrrghhh: yep been watching both sides
[02:39:36] membiblio: I have to say Bernie Sanders is making a lot of sense and speaking right to me but Hillary probably (hopefully) will be our next President.
[02:40:00] arrrghhh: what's really sad is... Rand Paul did a great AMA on Reddit. But people still think he's a crackpot.
[02:40:09] membiblio: Could you imagine Donald Trump? I had a dream he was the Anti-Christ – scared the bejeepers out of me.
[02:40:14] membiblio: AMA?
[02:40:21] arrrghhh: I like what Bernie has to say, but I just don't see him winning the general. he's too combative and his ideas are not exactly centrist
[02:40:31] arrrghhh: ama == ask me anything
[02:40:36] arrrghhh: reddit does 'em a lot
[02:40:45] membiblio: No they are not centrist. OH.. AMA gotcha nice. I will look at.
[02:41:02] arrrghhh: but Rand will never even come close to winning

[02:41:33] membiblio: So I've heard, and I'm not sure, that the US has done right and center and now needs to try left. I thought Bill Clinton was pretty center.
[02:42:03] membiblio: But who will Bloomberg run as? Repub, Demo or Independent?
[02:42:08] arrrghhh: independent
[02:42:20] geetar (geetar!~kurtgibso@97-82-201-188.dhcp.hckr.nc.charter.com) has quit (Read error: Connection reset by peer)
[02:42:33] arrrghhh: he already said he would run as indep if it's Bernie v Trump or Bernie v Cruz
[02:42:34] membiblio: And I'd vote for a Republican Bloomberg. But a Independent – maybe...
[02:42:54] arrrghhh: Bloomberg is so far from republican lol
[02:43:00] arrrghhh: other than the whole rich thing
[02:43:02] membiblio: I wonder what Bloomberg's deal with Bernie is?
[02:43:11] arrrghhh: he doesn't think Bernie can win in the general
[02:43:17] arrrghhh: which, I'm kinda worried he's right about.
[02:43:27] membiblio: Gotcha... interesting and yes I agree probably.
[02:43:43] membiblio: arrrghh where are you in the world – I'm in Pittsburgh PA btw
[02:43:51] arrrghhh: Denver CO here
[02:43:56] dani_: ok.. this is what i've found arrrghhh , and membiblio .... Hauppauge WinTV NOVA-T USB Stick ($90 AU)
[02:43:58] membiblio: Nice. Free pot.
[02:44:04] arrrghhh: well, it's not free
[02:44:07] arrrghhh: but it is legal xD
[02:44:17] membiblio: dani_ can I send you a free ethernet hub?
[02:44:30] dani_: im not handing out my address sorry
[02:44:54] membiblio: :) I just want you to get a silicon dust and be happy
[02:45:32] membiblio: It is $50 US at B&H Photo
[02:45:35] arrrghhh: membiblio, the no fan thing makes me wonder... which model do you have?
[02:45:44] membiblio: Let me go look brb
[02:46:21] dani_: it's listed under "Supported DVB-T USB Devices (old data)" is the "Old Data" any less accurate?
[02:47:02] arrrghhh: old data probably just means they are old cards – so you'll probably only get SD if anything (not sure if you care about HD)
[02:47:15] arrrghhh: I would hope in AU they broadcast OTA in HD like they do her
[02:47:17] arrrghhh: here*
[02:47:24] Jay2k1: i guess that's exactly what old data means
[02:47:43] Jay2k1: it's kinda unlikely that linux removes hardware support from the kernel ^^
[02:48:04] dani_: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Hauppauge-WinTV-NO . . . AOSwLN5Wh6KX
[02:48:17] membiblio: HDHomeRun Dual ATSC – it does NOT have h.264 transcode built in so I have to 'deal' with MPEG2 7Gb / hour files and stuff
[02:49:15] membiblio: arrrghhh you have the EXTEND?
[02:49:33] arrrghhh: membiblio, yep
[02:50:39] membiblio: So I can see why that might need a fan for the transcoding if they did not use a hardware FPGA or similar to transcode. Do you use the h.264 output or ask it to send MPEG2?
[02:51:04] arrrghhh: hm. I don't think I remember configuring that lol
[02:51:08] membiblio: I think that will be my next purchase when I have free funds.
[02:51:11] arrrghhh: I'm pretty sure it's just mpeg2

[02:52:45] membiblio: And most PC will decode, now, natively without using a lot of CPU. Some machines GPU does it.
[02:52:59] membiblio: I'm jealous :)
[02:53:11] membiblio: Did you pay 169 or buy used?

[02:53:39] arrrghhh: ofc
[02:53:45] membiblio: What is ofc?
[02:53:54] arrrghhh: of course :)

[02:54:10] arrrghhh: hm I'm not quite sure what is wrong
[02:54:32] membiblio: So did you know that myth will record more than 2 streams if you record off the same channel (subchannels of ATSC)?
[02:55:14] arrrghhh: ah I did not know that
[02:55:24] dani_: ok so the USB TV Card i've been eyeing off says "HDTV reception is not possible."??
[02:55:35] arrrghhh: but I don't get how to configure it for h.264... the confg/setup tool doesn't provide any options for thta
[02:55:48] arrrghhh: dani_, yes read what I said earlier lol
[02:55:52] arrrghhh: older cards won't do HD
[02:56:07] membiblio: dani_ no way – what DOES it pick up then?
[02:56:19] arrrghhh: SDTV
[02:56:22] arrrghhh: 480p
[02:56:36] membiblio: Oh dani_ that is the OTHER thing with USB – it just absolutely hogs the USB bus leaving NO time for anything else.
[02:57:08] membiblio: When receiving HD... I should have prefaced. Sorry to lie so openly and blatantly. I am NOT Donald Trump!
[02:57:18] arrrghhh: dani_, you will be much, much happier getting a dedicated device. couldn't be easier to setup either.... although I can't seem to figure out h.264
[02:57:46] membiblio: dani_ so WHY do you not have a extra Ethernet port on your network? Where does your ethernet cable run to?
[02:58:43] membiblio: Please tell me your ethernet does not go right into a dsl modem or something and you are using PPP :)

[03:02:46] arrrghhh: yep, that exact one ^^... dunno why it was so cheap

[03:03:26] arrrghhh: I am, it shows $149.99 for me
[03:03:36] arrrghhh: but in my order history, clearly says $118.99... dunno
[03:03:51] membiblio: There are 2 used ones on amazon – i would do that
[03:05:02] membiblio: dani_ are you ignoring me :) Can you share with us about your ethernet situation?

[22:30:34] DHR-y: I want to hook up two Hauppauge HD-PVRs to record the output of two cable boxes. I don't trust the ways of getting myth to manipulate the cable boxes. So I want to program the cable boxes myself. So here's the problem: can I tell Myth, when programming, which HD-PVR to record from?

[22:43:37] gregbert: DHR-y: i can't follow what you wrote. but i can tell you that you can specify which tuner to record from – so yes
[22:47:08] DHR-y: gregbert: sorry for not being clear. We program with mythweb and I don't see how to specify which tuner.
[22:47:44] gregbert: DHR-y: have you tried the frontend
[22:47:46] DHR-y: One horrible way would be to have different channel lineups somehow, even if they aren't actually different.
[22:48:04] gregbert: DHR-y: again. no idea what that means
[22:48:55] gregbert: DHR – in the frontend, if you open up a recording rule and go into 'schedule options', the second option specifies which input to use for a given show
[22:49:33] gregbert: DHR-y: i'll not try to dig into 'why' you want to do this
[22:55:04] DHR-y: gregbert: thanks. MythWeb doesn't seem to expose that. I'll go have a look at the frontend
