[02:45:42] | stefan__1: | the host name of the old master was not changed and the new master has a new name. |

[03:01:08] | stefan__1: | every backend has 2 harddisks for data. all 4 paths are different and defined om the master backend for the Default storage group |

I set in appearance setup 16:10 for aspect ratio, resolution of the right screen as GUI & playback canvas size. I set Offset so that mythtv is on the right display. No zoom set in playback setup. Still the aspect ratio in playback is wrong. It becomes right, if I set 4:3 aspect ratio, but the display is 16:10! I am using 0.27.1. |

[14:12:23] | jarnos_: | stuarta, one |
[14:13:37] | jarnos_: | stuarta, that is why I have to use offset to force it to right display. Though Xfce tries to open app in the display where cursor is, which overrides mythtv's setting at first. |
[14:20:30] | jarnos_: | sphery, stuarta oh, I can put Mythtv on the right screen alternatively by changing the display setting in Appearance menu. If I do so, aspect ratio setting works fine. |
[14:21:10] | stuarta: | jarnos_: that's the correct approach, tell it to use screen 1, rather than 0, works fine |
[14:21:37] | stuarta: | i do that all the time |

[14:31:27] | stuarta: | jarnos_: it shows 2 displays |
[14:32:45] | stuarta: | using your screen layout settings wotsit, you should set the 2nd head right|left|above|below your first screen, and ensure they aren't mirrored |
[14:32:56] | stuarta: | then it should "just work" |
[14:33:14] | jarnos_: | but when I set display 1 in mythtv settings, it is put in the LVDS display. At lest in this case. |

[14:33:53] | stuarta: | that's correct accoring to your xrandr, lvds is the 2nd head |
[14:34:30] | stuarta: | so you either set display on to '0' or swap the logical number of the displays |
[14:37:25] | jarnos_: | stuarta, do you mean that the lvds is number 2, if it's modes are listed as second in xrandr output? |
[14:38:15] | stuarta: | you can see from the offset "VDS-0 connected 1920x1200+1280+0" (+1280) that lvds is the 2nd head |
[14:38:37] | stefan__1: | but the second head has number 1, as counting starts from 0 |
[14:39:20] | jarnos_: | stuarta, so the first is the leftmost? How do you swap the logical number of the displays? |
[14:40:02] | jarnos_: | stuarta, or the one that is located at 0. |
[14:41:33] | jarnos_: | I mean at +0+0 |
[14:42:15] | stuarta: | you should be able to arrange the displays, at least with gnome, the display settings allows you to "arrange combined displays" |
[14:45:09] | jarnos_: | Well, using the Xfce way, I can drag the displays to arrange them. BTW it was not a good idea to do it, while mythtv is running: its output became flickering and corrupted. |
