Hi, Setting up MyhTV on Ubuntu 14.04. When I go to the Capture Card Setup screen, the DVB Devices list is empty. Using "lspci -vvnn" I can see my device listed (Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250 ) and shows a kernel driver (cx23885). What should I do to continue on and find where my dvb device should be located at in /dev?

The RF frontend is the part of the HVR-1150 that actually has the tuner and demodulator. Itâ€™s what is responsible for tuning to a specific frequency and getting a tuning lock.

You have to be locked on the target frequency in order to obtain a valid TV signal. Hence knowing if the frontend is locked would tell us if weâ€™re dealing with some sort of RF reception problem or if itâ€™s an issue delivering the MPEG2 stream to userland.
