I'd stop my backend and restart it with -v file --loglevel debug and watch the backend log for clues. Don't run that way for long as the log will grow huge once recordings start. |

The only solution to this type of problem (other than restoring the DB), is putting the recordings in the Video SG. Maybe you could ask in some XBMC group if there's a way to view Videos. Failing that, it sounds like 'rock meet hard place'. |
