[02:50:07] | andreaz: | No clue whats going on here.. :) Now, i managed to compile mythtv, done a channelscan, it found kinda all channels on dvb-t but when i tune in with mythfrontend i get no lock on any card and any channel. With vlc and channels.conf im able to tune to all channels, so the dvb-t hw is okay. Any idea where i can start to look at? |

[03:16:21] | Blue1: | ahh sorry that's all I know how to change. |

[03:17:25] | Blue1: | it may/may not work – worth a shot - |

[20:03:40] | houms: | although the browser says 1391283960.asx which is a pl file, when i open in vlc nothing happens |
[20:04:44] | stuartm: | houms: if it's any consolation, in the next release of MythTV it will just work without any tweaking of the apache config or symlinking of directories |

[20:07:05] | houms: | :/, if I could just get some documentation of what needs to go where, it would be helpful. the debian package comes with no docs for mythweb except releasenotes and news which are both not helpful |

[20:12:33] | stuartm: | xris: do you know if was there a reason that we're using mod_php instead of mod_fcgi on alcor? |
[20:13:11] | stuartm: | I vaguely recall some discussion about it many years ago but that's all |
[20:13:44] | houms: | for example when i want to direct download the file from mythweb it says a pl file as well. should it not actually be the recorded file? |
[20:16:44] | afpup: | iirc, mythweb direct download links to a perl script that then queries the database to figure out where the file actually is. |
[20:20:15] | houms: | yes unfortunately the mythweb doc does not explain anything regarding streaming |
[20:20:56] | houms: | afpup that is what it seems like, but when i clink the direct or the asx stream i get asked how to open the .pl (perl extension) file |
[20:21:07] | houms: | I assume it should be executing it instead |
[20:21:32] | houms: | but nowhere is this documented in mythweb wiki that i could find as to why that would be |
[20:22:20] | houms: | or is that cgi related? |
[20:23:56] | houms: | I see the bottom of mythweb.conf has http://pastie.org/8689623 which is why i ask |
[20:24:10] | afpup: | it should be executing it, does your web server (apache?/lighttp?/tomcat?) have the appropriate perl module(s) loaded? |

[20:34:07] | afpup: | last time that happened to me, I had to enable debug logging, check what myth was calling (external scripts) and then run that command by hand to see what was going on, IIRC, I had updated perl and it broke something. |
[20:34:32] | houms: | okay afpup installed, and it restarted apache and the mod seems to be loaded now, but when i click on asx stream or direct download it is still .pl file |
[20:35:12] | houms: | where is log level setting for myth? |
[20:35:31] | afpup: | that log comment was directed at Hydro |
[20:35:52] | houms: | yes afpup checked mods-enabled as you suggested and it shows perl.load |

[21:02:09] | houms: | it is very strange and i think it is an issue on their package as the apache conf file has to have the rewrite rules changed as well so it will work |
