[06:57:05] markspieth2: gigem: that I haven't tried. only walked away for a while. longest was about an hour.

[19:41:20] gigem: peterbennett: I tracked my vaapi2 no longer working problem to upgrading the intel-vaapi-driver package from version 2.0.0 to 2.2.0. What version ar you all using?
[19:59:44] ** kwizart subscribes on the vaapi subject **
[20:41:18] gigem: kwizart, peterbennett: It was another case of Debian's free software guidelines causing user confusion. The old, i965-va-driver package was deemed not free enough because some of the firmware didn't include source code and consequently had those parts removed. To get those parts back, you have to use the new, i965-va-driver-shaders package instead.
[20:42:41] gigem: !seen gary.buhrmaster
[20:42:41] MythLogBot: gary.buhrmaster has not been seen here
[20:43:06] gigem: Does anyone remember Gary's nick?
[20:47:10] gigem: Anyway, to any tv_grab_zz_sdjson_sqlite out there, how do I keep mythfilldatabase/tv_grab_zz_sdjson_sqlite from automatically channels to my clear QAM videosource? I'm okay with it doing so for my cablecard source, though, I'd prefer they automatically get marked as not visibile. Also, I though this grabber is supposed to be a lot faster than datadirect. That's not what I'm seeing. I suspect I'm doing
[20:47:12] gigem: something else wrong.
[20:49:10] devinheitmueller (devinheitmueller! has quit (Quit: devinheitmueller)
[20:55:08] kwizart: gigem, it's weird, in the fedora anylysis, none of the shaders or even older qualifies as appropriate means of edition, so they are non floss at all
[21:04:23] amessina (amessina!~amessina@unaffiliated/amessina) has joined #mythtv
[21:05:19] kwizart: gigem, I was asking for vaapi because on mythfrontend I have a vaapi 2.1.0 driver on intel baytrail and some vaapi profiles seems blacklisted from mythfrontend logs
[21:06:03] kwizart: whereas they would works as appropriate with others players
[21:09:39] jheizer_: been meaning to try it on my bat trail system since its a kind of odd ball, but haven't had a change yet. Glad someone is already.
[21:09:43] jheizer_: bay

[21:41:15] peterbennett: gigem: I am using tv_grab_zz_sdjson_sqlite out.

[21:50:19] gigem: kwizart: Debian takes a very strict view so they can claim Debian (proper) is completely free and open. In cases like this, you have to install "non-free" to either replace or restore the functionality that was removed in the name of freedom. Nevermind that the packages are maintained by the same people and hosted on the same servers. See "distinction without a difference". Now, don't get me wrong. I
[21:50:21] gigem: love Debian. I was a developer for several years and started when there were probably fewer than 10.
[21:50:39] gigem: peterbennett: 2.2.0 works fine now that I have the right package installed.
[21:52:47] gigem: peterbennett: Do you have a MythTV videosource that only contains clearm QAM (aka locsl) channels? I have one SD lineup that feeds two MythTV videosources, one for my cablecard tuners that can receive all channels to which I'm subscribed and one that can only receive, unencrypted local channels.
[21:53:48] gigem: stuarta: I thought Gary had been around here a lot more recently than that.
[21:54:47] gigem: I guess I'll have to email him.

[22:14:07] peterbennett: gigem: Currently I only have encrypted signals so only one video source. I used to have two sources fro my dev box, one that had over the air and one that had cable, but now I cannot get anything over the air.
