[05:38:58] lautriv: stuartm, got it managed by a partial scan with interrupting. May be worth to have something to set a single channel by parameters ( MHz instead ID ) which can be inserted.

[09:46:40] dekarl: ok, my memory tricked me. The checkbox is when scanning one/all known transports. You can then continue on with newly learned transports from the service information.
[09:46:58] dekarl: the tuned scan does not have such a checkbox
[09:47:39] dekarl: (I just looked at a DVB-C recorder)

[13:07:32] warpme: Is anybody know how to get working progressive download in webbrowser HTML5 video player?
[13:08:27] warpme: I already managed to reporting -type => 'video/webm','Content-Length' => $size
[13:08:55] warpme: this works nice for flv but not for webm....
[13:10:01] warpme: things like <video preload="auto|metadata|none"> not mathers :-(
[13:16:39] stuartm: by progressive download, you mean streaming the file instead of downloading and only then starting playback?
[13:17:27] stuartm: check that the http server supports range requests
[13:20:14] warpme: stuartm: yes. Currently playback starts just after starting downloading (so progressive download seems somehow working) but player don't allows to walk between start and already downloaded points. I don't know why.

[16:08:19] lautriv: background : i know both do 1000TX where the 04 is dual-port and the 06 can also iSCSI/iSer/RDMA but i have the feeling my 04's are running in some fallback-mode because missing firmware ...
[17:14:02] dekarl: lautriv, I was looking into it from a user experience viewpoint. I'd prefer our users to have positive surprises instead of negative ones :) (an expected option is missing in one place while its there in another)
[17:23:25] dekarl: lautriv: the mapping of broadcom devices to drivers is correct according to http://anonscm.debian.org/viewvc/pkg-discover . . . arkup#l29149
[17:31:25] lautriv: dekarl, in the meantime i found my real issue, the CAT6 wire from House(Frontends) to Garage(Backends) got somewhere damaged, falling back to 100TX :(

[18:33:02] dekarl: warpme, do you do OSX development? I'm interested in fixing VLC for iOS' UPNP support to work with our backends UPNP support in master, but don't have any OSX devices. Basically their upnpx code needs some hacking in the version check (change checks for "is equal" to "greater then or equal") basically something like http://paste.ubuntu.com/12185927/ (a dirty hack)
[18:39:57] dekarl: the rough hack should be testable with just their demo application according to https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/13732
[18:41:18] dekarl: oh my, now that I found the ticket I see that it was opened by you, so you likely already know all that :)

[18:49:32] stuartm: ah, that old chestnut of hardcoding support for version 1 of the spec (which violates the spec)
[18:51:46] stuartm: warpme: dekarl: worth mentioning when reporting these issues that the UPnP spec states that client implementations MUST tolerate all version numbers
[18:53:25] stuartm: so if, as suggested in that ticket, it was hardcoded for 1 and 4 that would still be wrong
[18:53:52] dekarl: mind to add a link to https://irc.mythtv.org/ircLog/channel/4/2015- . . . -16:11:09:01 to the bug? I'm not sure I can word that well with references to the spec

[19:19:58] dekarl: enyc: superm1: tgm4883: does this look sane? http://paste.ubuntu.com/12186420/ its a small change to unbreak mythweb's channel editor for setups with more then 62 channels

[19:29:38] dekarl (dekarl!~dekarl@mythtv/developer/dekarl) has quit (Ping timeout: 244 seconds)
[19:31:04] tgm4883: dekarl1: by my calculation, that increases it to 620 channels?
[19:56:59] dekarl1 is now known as dekarl
[19:58:21] dekarl: tgm4883: I calculated 620 channels, too. (well 625 to be exact)
[19:59:13] dekarl: the number used in the post to -users was good for 6250 channels (should cover even large satelite setups)
[19:59:46] dekarl: I'm running with that fix manually applied for some time now, but I'm not sure about the packaging
[20:19:01] superm1: dekarl: it looks sane, but is there a way to fix it more generally so we don't need a packaging specific fix? It would be better that it helped all distros
[20:19:09] kukks (kukks!~Guenter@samba/team/kukks) has joined #mythtv
[20:21:02] dekarl: superm1: I can move the configuration file to the mythweb repo, but every package needs to copy it to the correct location which I assume to be destribution specific.
[20:37:02] enyc: dekarl: i don't know i'm not familiar with that area of the code, i've been playing with packaging of late =)
[20:37:59] enyc: dekarl: though i have testing todo ,but not at the moment, busy rewiring lighting and stuff ;p
