markk, stuartm, yeah, I have a huge stale patch to convert quite a bit to QRectF. it helped with buttonlist scaling as far as positioning static elements exactly beside buttons, but had other issus I never worked around at the time. can't recall at this time of the morning what they all were, but one was button sizing/spacing, buttons needed to be dynamically sized to keep things aligned. for themes like arclight with little spa

cing between buttons, they look terrible unless you also keep the button spacing consistent, so there are compromised there. if the themer wants 1 pixel between buttons, you can honor that at most resolutions, but if you drop the resolution by half, you have to either drop the pixel or keep it, but either way the theme starts looking different than at full resolution because the spacing isn't scaling along with the sizing. anywa
