| [14:04:44] | mack-: | I've not paid attention to dlna recently (who has? :) ), but the traditional way to get foolproof playback on dlna devices was to have a transcoder to force the files to be exactly what the player wants. They've historically been pretty picky on what they want. |

The successor is smarter streaming I suppose — client and server both in a controlled setting, like Myth FE & BE or Plex. Or dedicated media players like Roku or Kodi. |
