[13:42:13] LordDragon: is there a way to watch a recording thats currently in progress?
[13:43:18] Merlin83b: Same way you'd watch any recording :)
[13:45:59] LordDragon: what happens though when you catch up to live time?
[13:52:22] Merlin83b: It carries on playing.
[13:52:57] LordDragon: so if u are fast forwarding, it will just stop and start playing live?
[13:53:02] Merlin83b: If you're watching at a >1x time stretch, it slows down to 1x. If you try to skip forward (eg. over ad breaks) it just doesn't let you.
[13:53:04] Merlin83b: Yep
[13:53:11] LordDragon: ahhh
[13:53:13] LordDragon: awesome :)
[13:53:46] LordDragon: i wish the progress bar would reflect the total time recorded so far like WMC
[13:54:24] Merlin83b: I haven't used wmc – something like a long bar for the total recording length, shaded for how far you've recorded of that, with an indicator for current position?
[13:55:11] LordDragon: yep
[13:55:25] LordDragon: WMC will show the predicted length of recording
[13:55:35] LordDragon: then a greyed area showing how far the recording has gone so far
[13:55:42] LordDragon: then white area where u currently are
[13:56:41] Merlin83b: Sounds like a theming issue but I haven't seen one that does that.
[13:58:24] LordDragon: Merlin83b: you use kodi as the player end?
[13:58:29] LordDragon: im using kodi
[13:58:36] LordDragon: i wonder if it works the same as the mythtv front end
[13:59:36] Merlin83b: Nope, I only use MythTV.
[14:00:46] LordDragon: can mythtv run in window mode?
[14:01:27] Merlin83b: I don't think so, I only need to run it fullscreen.
[14:01:32] LordDragon: ah ok
[14:02:31] stuarta: LordDragon: it does show the total time recorded so far, what it won't do is show the predicted length
[14:34:12] LordDragon: is there any decent windows mythtv software that is strictly a front end only? i just want a way to play recording/livetv on my windows machine direct to the myythtv backend
[15:02:08] Goobersmooch: LordDragon I've used Kodi on my windows machine for a frontend and was able to watch live tv from my mythtv backend

[17:13:06] membiblio: At this point I'm grasping at straws.
[17:14:58] bill6502: and to restore 'normal' logging: --setverbose general (or general:info if :debug was used.)

[18:28:16] lautriv: and why are those not located in /usr/include ?
[18:28:43] Oleg_: because on FreeBSD, anything that is not a part of the base system is always installed in /usr/local
[18:29:08] Oleg_: FreeBSD is a complete OS, unlike Linux
[18:29:25] lautriv: and you can't install exiv2 on base ?
[18:30:35] Oleg_: exiv2 is not a part of the base system; however, if you want to install it on FreeBSD, it will be installed into /usr/local
[18:30:40] lautriv: but ffmpeg is in base ?
[18:30:44] Oleg_: no
[18:31:04] lautriv: so where is bsd complete then ?
[18:31:32] Oleg_: in /usr/bin, /usr/include, and etc.
[18:31:53] Oleg_: all files that are a part of the base system are in there
[18:32:47] lautriv: if it lacks ffmpeg, it is incomplete .... however your additional -I/somewhere should work, what about the rest of the parameters ?
[18:35:57] Oleg_: what do you mean?
[18:37:18] lautriv: since the whole is not "base", did you --prefix=/usr/local --libdir=/usr/local/lib --mandir=/usr/local/share/man and all that ?
[18:38:00] Oleg_: no, I never used the --libdir parameters
[18:38:36] lautriv: that would lead to put all libraries to default, a.k.a base-location.
[18:38:54] Oleg_: whatcha mean?
[18:39:28] lautriv: either you separate all or nothing, not just a few.
[18:40:12] Oleg_: so, if I'll do that, it will stop finding non-mythtv copies of ffmpeg/libbluray/libdvdnav?
[18:41:54] lautriv: mythtv will compile against your headers set by -I/somewhere but if you don't change the other $PATH, it may overwrite same-named libraries, manuals, scripts, etc.

[21:33:13] RedPenguin: hey all
[21:33:28] RedPenguin: Is there any way to delete orphan recordings even if the find_orphans.py doesn't find them?
[21:33:45] RedPenguin: I have to files in my recordings folder, they don't show in the frontend/mythweb and the script doesn't find them
[21:33:48] Shadow__X: EvilGuru: i have not, but i also don't have one. Have you tried disconnecting it and reconnecting it, a different usb port, etc?
[21:33:53] RedPenguin: I hate to manually delete them and blow something up
[21:34:15] EvilGuru: Shadow__X: Yep, all of the usual, restarting, changing over the cable; some multiplexes are fine, however
[21:34:25] Shadow__X: RedPenguin: so they are only listed in the actual folder itself and not within mythtv?
[21:34:33] RedPenguin: yes
[21:34:40] Shadow__X: EvilGuru: could it be a signal strength thing?
[21:35:19] Shadow__X: RedPenguin: you could try backing up 1 of the files, deleting it from that directory, then restart mythtv backend and watch logs. I guess you could technically try and search the db if its listed at all
[21:35:25] EvilGuru: Shadow__X: Possibly, it shows as ~80% with a 2.1 DB SNR
[21:35:35] Shadow__X: RedPenguin: sounds odd that the file exists only in the directory and no where else though
[21:35:50] Shadow__X: EvilGuru: what about compared to the other tuners on the same stream?
[21:36:08] EvilGuru: They give similar numbers — and no breakup
[21:36:11] Shadow__X: EvilGuru: i guess what could have happened was that you updated the kernel or something and the newer drivers are causing the issue
[21:36:36] EvilGuru: I have another 290e I'll try swapping in, see if it makes a difference
[21:38:06] Shadow__X: EvilGuru: good idea

[21:48:03] EvilGuru: Annoying if the 290e has gone bad as they're hard to find
[21:48:09] Shadow__X: if thats the case then it might be hardware
[21:48:24] Shadow__X: yeah, thats one of the bad parts of finding hardware you really like
[21:48:54] EvilGuru: How I long for the days of 5 year warranties
[21:49:55] Shadow__X: but... if they stopped making it 3 years ago, they may replace it with something else
[21:51:26] EvilGuru: Something without driver support!
[21:52:41] Shadow__X: probably
