I'm trying to convince an nvidia card to switch refresh rates based on source fps. I'm playing 25fps video, but the refresh stays resolutely at 59.939.

I'm trying to setup a backend (0.27 ubuntu packages) and the mythtv-setup seemed to go ok, but the backend is not listening on the command/status ports. There are no "E" level messages in syslog. The general config page has the external IP addr of the machine. Can someone smack me with the cluebat please?

I'm about to purge teh packages and start from scratch again – but as another indication I can run the frontend on the backend machine and see basic operation (sans output since the server has a really wimpy display card)
