[00:43:35] robinmholt: I am trying to run mythtv-setup and add an hdhomerun prime capture source. I do not have (nor really want) a remote, but would rather use the keyboard/mouse my computer already has.
[00:44:04] robinmholt: When I attempt to change the Card Type, no keystroke seems to allow me to switch to an HDHomeRun device.
[00:44:45] robinmholt: Any suggestions? I have tried arrows, enter, keypad enter, space, and Ctrl, Alt, Shift combinations of all those keys.
[00:45:21] wagnerrp: i believe 'c' changes inputs
[00:45:35] wagnerrp: or you can go into the 'm' menu, and select your input from a list
[00:47:12] robinmholt: Neither seems to work. I am trying to add a capture card and want to change the card type.
[00:49:47] robinmholt: I am trying to "pull-down" the Card Type selector.
[00:50:49] robinmholt: Ah, page up/down...
[01:35:56] buu: robinmholt: arrow keys worked for me!

[18:30:25] scottwmcgregor: hey guys... got a weird problem with a ceton PCIe infinitv inside a ubuntu mythtv backend-- it's all set up and I can address the card both via its web interface and via live TV by manually changing inputs (though this is sometimes hit or miss), but mythtv won't use more than one input at a time for recording. Anybody have any advice?
[18:30:39] zombor (zombor!~zombor__@kohana/developer/zombor) has joined #mythtv-users
[18:31:31] wagnerrp: you've configured the four different tuners separately?
[18:31:51] wagnerrp: mengoshmink: tmdb3.py is for movies (although it can recently do television)
[18:31:55] wagnerrp: try ttvdb.py
[18:31:57] scottwmcgregor: yes... in fact sometimes mythtv will record on ceton3 instead of ceton0, but never two at the same time
[18:32:21] wagnerrp: did you do something bad with your input groups, so mythtv thinks their use is mutually exclusive?
[18:32:28] scottwmcgregor: so in upcoming recordings I get conflicts despite theoretically having 4 tuners available
[18:32:33] mengoshmink: oops, clue was in the path (silly me)
[18:32:50] mengoshmink: but I get the same result, command line works fine, inside mythtv is a no-go
[18:32:50] scottwmcgregor: maybe so... how would I know? Does each tuner need a different input group?
[18:33:43] wagnerrp: input groups are used to define groups of inputs that cannot be used simultaneously
[18:33:58] scottwmcgregor: holy cow that's probably it
[18:33:59] wagnerrp: such as both firewire and analog capture from a cable box
[18:34:10] wagnerrp: if you don't touch them, they should work fine
[18:34:14] scottwmcgregor: so the ceton tuners should NOT be in a group together
[18:34:24] wagnerrp: if you did anything with them when configuring your ceton tuners, you did something bad
[18:42:51] mengoshmink: this gets weirder and weirder, I have noticed tht in the "artwork and metadata" setup screen the slection box television is empty. I don't mean the box and there with nothing in it. I mean the box is empty.
[18:59:06] scottwmcgregor: I should have come here months ago. wagnerrp, how do I buy you a beer?
[18:59:18] scottwmcgregor: everything's fixed/working

[21:12:07] neufeld`: So, I've finally done the upgrade from 0.25 to 0.27. Some upcoming recordings have been rescheduled to later in the day or week, and I don't see any reason for that to have happened. Channel priorities match, HDTV tags same on both, but somehow it decided to wait for it to play on another channel at a later time. I've turned on verbose scheduling on the backend, but I don't see what's happening. Ideas?
[21:26:36] neufeld`: I'll ask around in the dev channel.
[21:27:51] justinh: I wouldn't do that
[21:28:40] neufeld`: justinh: OK, but something seems weird, I'm thinking I'll have to patch the backend to debug it. The verbose logging isn't showing anything helpful.
[21:30:15] neufeld`: I had a rule to record a show. It picked an 8:00 showing tonight. After the upgrade, it passed over that showing for one on a different channel at 11:00, pushing another recording that was to occur at 11:00 out a few days into the future. When I add a manual override to tell it to record the 8:00 showing, it decides to record both, and so still doesn't move the other show back to its original slot tonight at
[21:30:15] neufeld`: 11:00.
[21:31:09] neufeld`: Nothing weird in the debug-level logs for scheduling

[21:34:52] neufeld`: Both channels have the same recording priority. If I bump the earlier showing channel's priority up by 3, it still doesn't record there. If I bump it up by 4, then the scheduler decides to record that showing instead of the later one. So the scheduler knows about the channel, it just doesn't want to use it. There are no conflicts with the earlier time.
[21:35:34] neufeld`: Wait, I'll bet I know....
[21:36:23] neufeld`: Is program.endtime in UTC now, instead of local time?
[21:36:40] [R]: yes, the db is in utc
[21:37:07] neufeld`: I've got a custom priority rule to discourage recordings between 1:30 and 3:00 AM because my cable provider resets the cable box almost every single night around 2:00, corrupting any recordings going on then.
[21:37:39] neufeld`: So, I've got to figure out how to make that rule into local time, including daylight savings time switches.
