Hi All, My myth box can be pinged successful from terminal and mythweb can be access via a remote browser on the network. Problem 1) Cannot setup remote frontends master-backend machine not visible on network shares – tried with an andriod frontend on a tablet, tried on a remote frontend desktop, no luck. Problem 2) Mythfrontend returns an array on different errors in live tv context on hls stream. Most common error is; "Could not read the fiest 2048 bytes", is my network to slow (4MBs) or are there parameters that need adjusting? Another error is "Error opening jump program file buffer – All tuners are busy" and lest common are "irrecoverable recorder error" and "backend is online mythcontext" – I delete the cards and redo, video

in theory its quite simple (isn't everything? ;) HLS is the video interface to feed iPhones and iPads, with the HLS recorder you can tap into the tv stations feed and use it like a regular tuner. The playlist is to let the recorder know all addresses of the HLS feeds and to connect the channel to a xmltv guide feed

Sounds interesting, wish I wasn't such a noobie then I can could interact with such material meaningfully. With assistance from #mythtv-users, I got my installation to the 0.27 repos, used avenrards playlist, played some channels but video and sound choppy and crashes as I described above.

I really am not certain tpg should work outside of australia I mean iptv is sending the data packets via udp meaning no error correction so over such a long distance every packet of data that is sent if any are lost that is the cause for the choppyness
