[15:12:44] adam_112: The prime tool in X does show all three.
[15:13:39] wagnerrp: in 0.24, it would only pick up two of the three tuners, because it didnt know there was an HDHomeRun that had three tuners

[15:16:46] adam_112: dang. The backend isn't starving?

[15:17:46] adam_112: k
[15:17:50] wagnerrp: or the signal quality monitor would report a bunch of bad frames

[15:22:11] wagnerrp: last time, the issue was that mythtv would send instructions to the wrong tuner

[19:16:36] wagnerrp: sphery: so that brings up another request
[19:17:02] wagnerrp: on gentoo, common behavior is to define your CPU, MARCH, and other such options directly
[19:17:11] wagnerrp: and let all your applications be compiled against that
[19:17:34] wagnerrp: right now, the ebuilds simply ignore that and call '--enable-proc-opts'
[19:18:32] wagnerrp: now im not about to stop that, and use the portage options, just because some user wants to go over-optimize things willy nilly
[19:18:44] wagnerrp: but there is good reason to allow it for purposes of cross compilation
[19:19:06] wagnerrp: i.e. mounting some other machines's root over NFS, chrooting, and building new binaries

[19:21:08] wagnerrp: and automatically enabling cross-compilation if they differ
[19:22:11] sphery: seems reasonable, though the checks we use change with ffmpeg sync's, so might have to update it relatively frequently
[19:22:33] sphery: and note that when you specify --cpu, we no longer do our "and all the rest that goes with that"
[19:23:25] wagnerrp: im just a bit concerned about having something like 'forcecpu'
[19:23:47] wagnerrp: with every gentoo denizen and their brother abusing it needlessly

[19:24:05] sphery: yeah
[19:24:29] sphery: does ebuild allow cross compiling with the --enable-cross-compile and --cross-prefix stuff?
[19:24:34] sphery: if so, perhaps it's better as is
[19:24:35] wagnerrp: presumably, if the user supplied that, they would also supply all those other compile options
[19:24:52] wagnerrp: i dont know
[19:25:20] sphery: I prefer that cpu/tune/arch is never used without --enable-cross-compile

[19:38:39] wagnerrp: ill have to look at my code
[19:38:58] wagnerrp: how do you run the frontend without a backend because you dont have a video source?
[19:39:13] wagnerrp: i guess the frontend can trigger the profiler without connecting to the backend
[19:40:03] wagnerrp: 86 tuners, 2 V2L, and 1 Freebsd
[19:40:34] wagnerrp: 56 digital tuners and 20 HDHRs between 16 hosts... i bet i never accounted for virtual tuners
[19:41:44] sphery: wow
[19:42:16] Jordack (Jordack!~jordack@h69-131-44-221.plmomi.dedicated.static.tds.net) has quit ()
[19:43:21] wagnerrp: yeah, ill need to make it filter out unique 'videodevice'
[19:43:39] wagnerrp: right now, the query is just 'select cardtype, count(cardtype) from capturecard group by cardtype'
[19:43:42] chembrow (chembrow!~chris@188-221-15-153.zone12.bethere.co.uk) has quit (Remote host closed the connection)
[19:50:05] jams: wagnerrp- it's a p4 with the mx440. Noticed it in the logs when it was submitted, thought it was amusing
[19:50:31] sphery: so likely a p4 with some usb 1.1 and some usb 2 ports
[19:51:15] wagnerrp: jams: as we tweak this stuff, the new data will overwrite the old, and those "bad" values will get flushed out?
[19:51:23] jams: wagnerrp- yep
[19:52:09] jams: for the virtual tuners, wasn't for sure that was by design or not
[19:52:12] jams: could see it both ways
[19:52:40] wagnerrp: if we want virtual tuners, id rather have a 'average virtual tuners per digital input'
[19:52:50] wagnerrp: http://pastebin.com/NHL61F4h
[19:53:28] jams: that would make sense
[19:54:54] wagnerrp: i may as well just put that in now
[19:54:56] jams: the majority of the DVB tuners are 2 profiles. one has 12 the other has 16

[20:03:53] wagnerrp: jams: http://pastebin.com/9NC10yzA
[20:04:20] wagnerrp: erm... no, got that slightly wrong

[20:15:11] tmkt: hey hey..where is my username/password stored for installing jwplayer on mythtv?
[20:28:58] Captain_Murdoch: it uses the default of admin/mythtv.
[20:29:03] Captain_Murdoch: tmkt
[20:29:25] wagnerrp: jams: ok, just committed a properly functioning version of that
[20:29:59] wagnerrp: tuners now only returns counts of 'unique' tuners, and there is a vtpertuner float returned as well

[20:56:38] wizbit: i had to re-scan all my channels in the UK.
[20:57:00] wizbit: since doing that i have lost icons for mythweb only, both frontends show tv icons fine
[20:57:29] wizbit: i have: /var/www/private/mythweb/data/tv_icons all the icons here but mythweb does not show them
[20:57:45] sphery: rm /var/www/private/mythweb/data/tv_icons/*
[20:58:22] sphery: and then ensure that they're properly configured on your backend
[20:58:33] sphery: using channel editor in mythtv-setup for example
[20:58:44] wizbit: right ok, i thought you might say that
[21:00:03] wizbit: i was hoping you would wave your magic wand so i could do little work as possbl
[21:00:35] sphery: as little work as possible just means enjoy mythtv without channel icons :)
