[00:01:57] wagnerrp: mcl0vin: that means your backend is not configured correctly
[00:02:16] wagnerrp: see your backend logs for more information
[00:02:54] mcl0vin: wagnerrp: i am looking at it as we speak , but i still didn't build that troubleshooting skill with MythTV
[00:04:33] RDV_Linux: mzb: You are using "Miro Bridge version v0.5.7" with Miro v3.0.1, only with Mirobridge v0.5.8 and higher supports Miro 3.x

[00:22:49] mcl0vin: iamlindoro: well it asked me if i want to shutdown the BE and i said yes
[00:22:57] mcl0vin: i think its time to restart the box
[00:23:08] iamlindoro: mcl0vin, You are talking about mythbuntu stuff, we never ask to shut down the backend
[00:23:18] iamlindoro: So you'd have to ask them about their random script voodoo
[00:24:12] RDV_Linux: [R]: Through Mythvideo you can edit the meta data an input the proper reference number that way.
[00:24:23] [R]: RDV_Linux: i tried that, it also didn't work for some reason

[00:53:43] iamlindoro: don't think you've changed what?
[00:54:09] iamlindoro: Your patch is based on using mythcontext, and mythcontext no longer works the same way, so you need to keep up with commits to know how to adjust, or just don't run trunk

[00:58:50] biffhero: wny would livetv playback not work in myth, but work in mplayer from the same system?
[00:59:21] mzb: your logs might tell you
[01:00:12] biffhero: MZB: thanks. mythfrontend.log has the following: AFD Error: Could not find codec parameters. file was "/var/lib/mythtv/livetv/1003_20100516174048.mpg"
[01:00:31] biffhero: I installed mplayer to make sure it wasn't an access or a backend issue.
[01:03:01] biffhero: and after that error, I am not able to play any prior TV recordings, nor any .isos which would previously work. Restarting mythfrontend fixes ISOs and recordings.
[01:03:45] mzb: there are probably more issues than that single line (wild guess) ... try pasting (see the topic) your logs for that entire time period
[01:04:09] mzb: then again, somebody else here might actually be familiar with that error ;)

[01:08:42] [R]: biffhero: does recordings work?
[01:09:10] [R]: what is the error in the backend log
[01:09:19] biffhero: [R]: yes, the .mpg file on the backend is OK.
[01:09:32] [R]: biffhero: huh?
[01:09:35] biffhero: I can open up an xterm and 'mplayer' it just fine. I will go 2xcheck for errors on the backend right now.
[01:09:52] biffhero: oh, you mean, "Can I watch recordings?"
[01:09:57] [R]: no
[01:10:00] [R]: can you make a recording
[01:10:25] psm321: hmm, as of 2 or 3 days ago i could still get a lock on my comcast qam channels but most were encrypted (and some were still fine)... today, no lock at all on any channels (!!)
[01:10:41] [R]: psm321: sounds liek they encrypted them
[01:11:00] biffhero: I haven't tried to make a recording, the verification that I have done was to go look in /var/lib/mythtv/livetv/ and use mplayer on the .mpg file that my capture card was putting there, but I will try to make a recording right now. thanks for the idea.
[01:11:12] [R]: what mpg file?
[01:11:35] biffhero: when I try to watch live tv, the backend starts dropping a file in /var/lib/mythtv/livetv/
[01:11:50] biffhero: We have a playbackURL(/var/lib/mythtv/livetv/1003_20100516180507.mpg) & cardtype(MPEG)
[01:12:00] biffhero: that was from my logs, also at http://mythtv.pastebin.com/Qr2iQPj4
[01:12:01] [R]: ok, so the backend is actually recording
[01:12:12] biffhero: yes, it is.
[01:12:13] [R]: so back to
[01:12:16] [R]: [06:09:10] [R] what is the error in the backend log

[01:12:30] biffhero: Checking...
[01:12:35] psm321: [R]: that was what happened 2 days ago... i dont think any of the encryption standards actually include encrypting the headers and such you'd need to tune into the stream
[01:13:13] [R]: psm321: huh?
[01:15:07] psm321: heh n/m... it's only a problem with one of my 2 identical tuners, must be having issues
[01:15:51] achew22: has anyone had issues with vdpau in lucid? I installed nvidia-current and it didn't seem to turn on VDPAU at all. It is also running REALLY slow (2fps or lower on just drawing things). Does anyone have any ideas on whats going on?
[01:16:02] psm321: [R]: so, with encrypted channels, I can tune them, just can't see anything (mythtv's OSD says "LAM" and then "LAMc"). With the problem i'm having wih the one tuner, it never gets to "L"
[01:16:20] [R]: sounds like bad hardware then
[01:16:51] [R]: achew22: there is no "on" switch for vdpau aside from enabling the proper display profile
[01:17:14] psm321: [R]: yeah, that or more likely just stuck in a bad state... my ivtv cards get stuck in a bad state every once in a while, this is the first time i've had this sort of thing from a dvb card
[01:17:28] achew22: [R]: and VDPAU slim is the most kind of the VDPAU profiles?
[01:17:38] biffhero: [R] the backend logs from attempting to watch live tv are at http://pastebin.com/KsWuvbzJ I wonder if there's something there on line 32, where the back end doesn't tell the front end what sort of decoding to do.
[01:17:49] [R]: achew22: most kind?
[01:17:54] elmojo (elmojo!~elmojo@unaffiliated/elmojo) has joined #mythtv-users
[01:18:17] achew22: there are 3 vdpau profiles. I assume slim does something that makes it easier for weaker video cards to draw properly?
[01:18:40] [R]: slim enables the crappiest deinterlacer
[01:19:10] [R]: biffhero: i see no errors there
[01:19:22] [R]: biffhero: and if you do make a recording, and then try to watch it... does ti work?

[01:24:19] wagnerrp: no you werent
[01:25:06] wagnerrp: achew22: i dont know where you got the idea that you were using VDPAU, but that chip does not support it
[01:25:17] [R]: biffhero: weird... livetv is a little flaky at times
[01:27:18] achew22: wagnerrp: I disagree. http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_185.18.31.html on the supported products page it has under GeForce 6 series 6150
[01:27:27] biffhero: [R] : thanks for the help

[01:29:33] iamlindoro: achew22, Which tells you that the card is suported by the driver
[01:29:47] iamlindoro: The driver supports it. That does *not* give your card VDPAU capability

[01:46:27] elfMobile: [R], yeah... but I would basically need a whole new computer. All I have is a Hauppauge dual tuner card and a busted Pentium 4 machine
[01:47:03] elfMobile: [R], can I record more than OTA channels on Myth?
[01:47:22] [R]: elfMobile: depends on what your cable company provides unencrypted
[01:47:29] [R]: you can also use an hdpvr and an hd cable box

[01:49:47] clop2: 2gb of ram
[01:50:21] clop2: ideally it could record 2 hd shows (off the hdhomerun) and do commercial flagging inline with recording
[01:50:34] jamesd_: wouldn't be one of those low budget quad core amd do a better job... cheaper and quad core so you can do more transcoding on it without breaking a sweat.
[01:50:49] [R]: i have an hdpvr and a qam tuner and comm flag up to 3 things at once
[01:50:53] [R]: and i have 2gb
[01:51:06] [R]: but i have a dedicated backend
[01:51:23] [R]: depending on how you plan on watching the videos, the frontend doenst really use too much ram
[01:51:26] clop2: jamesd_, hrmn, i haven't really looked at amd stuff yet, i should probably do that
[01:51:31] [R]: but then again... i have 2gb on my dedicated frontend
[01:51:52] clop2: [R], does the frontend memory affect the backend somehow?
[01:52:11] [R]: huh?

[01:52:25] [R]: what do you mean "the fronteend memroy"
[01:53:03] clop2: [R], ah nm, i see, you're just saying that you can commflag 3 things but maybe that's because you aren't using that machine as a frontend and hence don't need memory for the playback

[14:36:09] PennStateJoe74: hello folks. i'm seeking some assistance with a myth install. i have haupagaue hd-pvr 1212 hooked up to ubuntu system. graphics card is nvidia 8800 gts. i record video successfully but when i try to watch live tv i get audio but no video.
[14:37:05] wagnerrp: the HDPVR is plugged into the STB properly?
[14:38:01] PennStateJoe74: yes. when i go to the livetv storage file – i can open the video files in mplayer without any trouble and they have audio and video
[14:39:45] PennStateJoe74: when i have it enabled to display menu when first loading live tv, i do not get any picture in the little video preview box, but i get audio. guide works fine, but as soon as i select a channel, the guide goes away the desktop is displayed on screen and i get audio only.
[14:40:32] PennStateJoe74: if i press escape, the myth front end comes back up. i was thinking it was loading the video on a different x-session or something, but i'm not sure how to investigate
[14:41:11] AriX_ (AriX_!~AriX@207.245.119.4) has quit (Quit: Leaving...)

[14:41:54] wagnerrp: do you have the official nvidia drivers installed?
[14:42:00] wagnerrp: what playback profile are you using?
[14:43:16] PennStateJoe74: i do have nvidia drivers installed – 195.36.15
[14:43:33] PennStateJoe74: i have tried just about every combination of playback profiles i can think of.
[14:44:27] wagnerrp: should only be using Slim
[14:45:37] PennStateJoe74: i did learn that the 8800 gts is not vduac
[14:45:56] wagnerrp: the 320 and 640, no
[14:46:04] wagnerrp: the 512 supports VDPAU

[14:47:06] wagnerrp: no, just use the Slim profile

[15:47:10] PennStateJoe74: so this is what happened... i picked slim with default settings. clicked watch live tv. blue light on hdpvr came on, screen went to the number 1 image. no audio, then video went to desktop. but the recording was working fine as i found out afterwards.
[15:48:32] PennStateJoe74: so i pressed escape because i could not interact with my desktop, and then the blue light shut off and myth menu returned. i quit mythtv then checked in the livetv folder. a file existed from my live tv session. i opened it i mplayer. it had sound and video (was a little choppy).
[15:48:33] sphery: That may be due to the fact that the channel change time is too long for the HD-PVR

[15:52:43] sphery: and modify the 8 second sleep as necessary
[15:52:58] sphery: er, oops, in bash that's sleep 8, not sleep(8)
[15:53:08] PennStateJoe74: i'm not all that familiar with scripting
[15:53:21] PennStateJoe74: do i just put that command in my mythfront end configurations
[15:53:36] PennStateJoe74: or do i need to put that into a file somewhere and then reference the file
[15:53:45] sphery: PennStateJoe74: http://mythtv.pastebin.com/hty53aZD
[15:54:19] sphery: save the contents of that pastebin to a file called, change_channel.sh, chmod 755 change_channel.sh , then configure that script as your external channel change script in mythtv-setup
[15:55:03] sphery: then modify the 8 as necessary (might need to be as high as 15 seconds of sleep, but if so, you'll almost definitely need the aforementioned patches). I think up to 10s you're good with current MythTV.

You're best bet is to use MythTV like a DVR (that it is :)--record anything you might possibly want to watch and you'll always have something recorded that's better to watch than anything currently airing.
[16:10:41] drindt: wagnerrp: why this huge harddrive hangs on a router with nas functionality
[16:10:43] sphery: Live TV is evil!
[16:10:53] drindt: in my mythtv box is just an ssh
[16:10:54] wagnerrp: drindt: and no NFS support?
[16:10:54] drindt: ssd
[16:11:02] drindt: wagnerrp: unfortunately not
[16:11:22] wagnerrp: so, sell the NAS box, dump your drives in the linux box, and use that as a NAS
[16:11:29] drindt: wagnerrp: i tested now for weeks various options in the cifs module

[16:12:03] sphery: drindt: what's the translation of that eno message?
[16:12:31] wagnerrp: sphery: the file system is complaining that the file is locked elsewhere
[16:12:35] wagnerrp: so mythtv cannot delete it
[16:12:43] drindt: sphery: 2. the program cant be modified or executed, 4. the list of arguments are to loong
[16:12:44] sphery: I have a feeling you've enabled the Delete files slowly option and your box doesn't support that style of file system usage
[16:13:04] sphery: 4 is strange
[16:13:04] drindt: sphery: i will disable it just a second, but then appear different errors
[16:13:42] sphery: you may need to modify the CIFS mount options used on your mythtv backend for that file system, too
[16:13:53] PennStateJoe74: still no luck with shorter sleep times
[16:14:05] sphery: PennStateJoe74: I recommend the mailing list
[16:14:26] sphery: you can pastebin log files here and see if anyone has any ideas
[16:14:30] PennStateJoe74: i'll take you up on that advice
[16:14:48] PennStateJoe74: thanks again for your help. i gotta go to work now.
[16:14:52] sphery: but I know that Live TV on the HD-PVR is probably the most-challenging setup for MythTV
[16:15:05] sphery: (and, really, Live TV is terrible, anyway, so ...  ;)
[16:15:34] PennStateJoe74: challenging indeed, but my wife doesn't understand why it doesn't 'just work' like our cable box
[16:15:35] PennStateJoe74: lol
[16:16:00] sphery: the answer to that one is that your cable co doesn't want it to
[16:16:15] sphery: thus the encryption that requires you to use one of their rented STB's and an HD-PVR :)

[16:25:15] sphery: wagnerrp: I think it just makes chapters every 5 min through the end of the recording length
[16:25:22] sphery: or 6min :)
[16:25:34] wagnerrp: maybe the 'proper' solution would be to add a 'chapter' flag into the markup
[16:25:37] drindt: sphery: did you want to know my mount line in fstab?
[16:25:47] wagnerrp: so when you transcode, it puts chapters at the cutpoints

[16:39:38] drindt: sphery: mythweb can access the files in the same way as mythbackend its on the same machine
[16:39:40] sphery: i.e. you need to mount the backend directories on the mythweb host
[16:40:02] drindt: they can also access /mnt/mythweb
[16:40:16] drindt: ensured that apache can access the folder too
[16:40:30] sphery: don't know, then
[16:40:45] sphery: if it's the master backend host, it should be able to find any of the recordings made by the master backend
[16:41:07] sphery: (and, with proper storage group configuration and network mounts, any recording made by other backends)
[16:41:23] sphery: but shouldn't be any configuration to get the master backend stuff working
[16:41:35] sphery: unless your mythweb configuration (in Apache) doesn't set the proper hostname
[16:41:42] sphery: which would be my first guess as to the problem
[16:41:47] sphery: (so modify mythweb.conf)
[16:45:01] sphery: though if hostname program works properly, you should get the right hostname

[18:44:54] sphery: so no mention on changelogs

[18:45:35] skd5aner: ws trying to make sure I reflect the change correctly, but sounds like it's null and void anywya
[18:45:41] sphery: after all, it caused bugs in everything from playback to UI drawing to the kernel
[18:46:09] johnnyj: sphery: how did it mess with the UI / the kernel?
[18:46:24] skd5aner: mind if I ask why, or is that just pouring salt in a wound?

[18:48:22] skd5aner: "we can't use it" – what's the real reason?
[18:48:36] sphery: basically nobody's system was set up properly
[18:48:41] sphery: because distros don't do it right
[18:48:49] skd5aner: ah
[18:49:07] skd5aner: anyway to implement legacy support utilizing the new method?

[18:50:29] skd5aner: saw lots of chatter when you guys were working on it
[18:50:36] sphery: since they only support xdg-screensaver control of screensavers
[18:51:00] skd5aner: how hard is it to configure the system correctly?
[18:51:40] ** skd5aner is completely unfamiliar with any screensaver control system for DEs **
[18:52:42] skd5aner: is it a .conf change? or is it a bit more detailed than that?
[18:53:13] sphery: basically, if you install xdg-screensaver on a system and then choose to use a screensaver app that's not supported by xdg-screensaver, you've misconfigured
[18:53:19] sphery: that's 99% of the users who complained
[18:53:21] skd5aner: I mean, I'm just running gdm and fvwm, and I'm having some dpms issues since I switched to HDMI
[18:53:26] sphery: distros or someone should stop that

[18:53:43] skd5aner: saver
[18:53:54] sphery: i.e. if you enable some broken screensaver app, the distro disables/removes/renames xdg-screensaver

[18:59:27] skd5aner: well, yea – I've never had one... my video card will stop sending a signal, and black screen as expected, but the TV no longer sees that as inactivity and shuts down like it used to. It just stays on all the time, displaying a black screen
[18:59:43] skd5aner: on Component, it did
[18:59:59] sphery: that sounds like you're using a screensaver app with DPMS disabled
[19:00:21] sphery: Though I'll admit that some projectors/TVs are brain dead, so it could be the hardware.
[19:01:18] johnnyj: i use the XDG screensaver patch – works fine for me

[20:30:12] iamlindoro: skd5aner: Not really a but, just maybe a way to make your job a little easier

[20:30:45] skd5aner: iamlindoro: yea, I understand the audience of this is more for users to see "gee, look what's new and cool" and not really to explain what methods changed under the hood...
[20:31:59] skd5aner: I've started to shortcut a lot of that stuff, including not even putting it on the discussion page which is where I'm sticking the "TBD/too technical/nice to know, but keep it off the main release page" stuff
[20:32:23] skd5aner: I figured, I'd swing back around pre-RC time, and trim-the-fat a little
[20:33:09] skd5aner: by that time, within each category, it'll be easy to see what's the most relevant near-release and what might get bumped down to honorable mention and removed from the page... make sense?
[20:33:43] iamlindoro: Sure, I just wonder whether it might not be more effective to simply be more discerning to being with
[20:34:14] skd5aner: That being said, I definitely agree – I looking at it kind of like a car, would a normal person care about the internal changes to a fuel injection pump? No, but they do care about what that might mean for MPG, etc... trying to keep stuff high level and relavent to the user
[20:34:15] clever (clever!~clever@142.167.146.183) has joined #mythtv-users
[20:34:16] iamlindoro: the last changeset is never going to be relevant to anyone reading it, so why put it up in the first place? This method means the release notes become less and less usable until you go back and "fix" them
[20:34:42] skd5aner: the Devs don't really need to rely on the release-notes, they've got doxygen/trac/commits, etc
[20:35:17] iamlindoro: Anyway, I don't care enough to go do anything about it myself, but I am slightly sensitive to public perception-- and release notes that run parallel to our settings screens are not a good thing IMO ;)
[20:35:20] drindt: sphery: i had stresstested the share with multiple write/read streams and it seems the system is now stable
[20:35:39] skd5aner: Yea, I'll move the mythobservable one off, what about the events – would not that one be a little more relevent though?
[20:35:43] sphery: drindt: cool
[20:36:11] iamlindoro: I think the event ones are worth having there
[20:37:15] iamlindoro: skd5aner: I think I would look at it as follows: If it's a setting, improved functionality, a user-facing bugfix, or a new feature, it should go in the release notes. If it's a technical exercise/has no effect on the user's experience, it probably shouldn't
[20:38:00] iamlindoro: skd5aner: Examples of things that might not belong:
[20:38:27] iamlindoro: Bug fix & minor optimizations to Program Finder when loading programs that start with "A"/"An"/"The"

[20:41:45] skd5aner: yea – I'm curious to see how much the list could potentially grow, given the length of time until the next release, and that .23 just released 7 days ago... I don't want it to be an hour long excersise to read through the release-notes come release time

[21:05:07] AndyCap: justinh: heh, it's even out of the doghouse with redhat
[21:05:08] high-rez: gentoo works with xfs out of the box.
[21:05:32] iamlindoro: muns: You are an inexperienced myth user-- that alone makes every step on the way to a working system a point of possible failure
[21:05:42] high-rez: (at least the minimal cd supports xfs)
[21:05:50] justinh: I'm compiling myth at the mo.. I'll reboot eventually. the restricted driver manager reckons I have to anyway
[21:06:03] iamlindoro: muns: Many, many, many people using HVR-1600s satisfactorily with MythTV
[21:06:17] high-rez: HDHR > *
[21:06:18] ** high-rez ducks **
[21:06:19] justinh: the next release is gonna have a START button at the bottom left of the desktop. £5 on it
[21:06:35] muns: ok following the steps w/o compiling the ivtv drivers since its "builtin" still no luck following the wiki
[21:06:40] qfx: So pulse audio is screwing with my frontend, when I start mythtvfrontend it says "ERROR: ***Pulse Audio is running!!!!*** " and fails to start
[21:06:49] muns: again maybe its just this cable provider that sux
[21:06:59] qfx: I have tried to do 'pulse-audio -k' but it just immediately starts
[21:07:08] justinh: oh damn I forgot about pulseaudio
[21:08:06] muns: again anyone here using a hvr-1600 that got it to work in mythbuntu 10.04?
[21:08:21] muns: just thought i'd ask..i see the same guys here ;(
[21:09:01] iamlindoro: muns: You're asking 200 of the tens of thousands of myth users, many of whom don't use mythbuntu
[21:09:09] superdump (superdump!~rob@unaffiliated/superdump) has quit (Quit: WeeChat 0.3.3-dev)
[21:09:13] iamlindoro: why not try the captive mythbuntu using audience in #ubuntu-mythtv ?
[21:09:29] muns: done tried i'll try again
[21:10:08] iamlindoro: muns: regardless, as you are not an experienced user of myth, it is almost invariably a setup issue on your part
[21:10:32] iamlindoro: there are many parts to get right, and any one of them can result in an unusable system
[21:12:23] justinh: woohoo my joggler will be delivered tomorrow. while I'm at work :-\
[21:12:39] muns: ya after 9 reinstalls and following the wiki no luck still, so i try many different combinations with no luck, might be missing somethin and after reading lots of forums all i see is working in 9.04, 9.10 but haven't found one that is in the 10.04 with 0.23
[21:13:00] skd5aner: muns: if it makes you feel better, cause you're looking for a response from someone, I don't have an HVR-1600, so I can't say... but I know lots of people use that card with little to no issue, so...

[21:14:54] qfx: iamlindoro: I AM an experienced user of myth, and it's still almost invariably a setup issue on my part
[21:15:13] iamlindoro: qfx: Well your issue is that you have pulseaudio installed at all ;)
[21:15:14] skd5aner: crap, justinh left right as I was getting ready to send him something :/
[21:16:05] skd5aner: muns: I can't imagine that much is different between 9.10 and 10.04 in regards to it. Many people are using other IVTV and V4L devices without problems on 10.04
[21:16:18] justinh (justinh!~justin@cpc1-salf4-0-0-cust69.manc.cable.ntl.com) has joined #mythtv-users

[21:16:50] skd5aner: justinh: re joggler – cool, did you see to video that Azelphur did with myth on a joggler? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgwjPRBAFrU
[21:16:56] justinh: yeah I did
[21:17:00] justinh: I won't be doing that though
[21:17:07] skd5aner: cool
[21:17:16] skd5aner: just passing it along :)
[21:17:25] qfx: anybody recall who maintains the SUSE package? (on packman)
[21:17:44] justinh: it's how I found out about the joggler anyway – saw the tweet about it. when I still used twitter
[21:17:44] iamlindoro: I can't say I've ever heard anyone claim to be the SuSe maintainer
[21:18:14] iamlindoro: qfx: You can temporarily work around it by doing "EXPERIMENTALLY_ALLOW_PULSE_AUDIO=1 mythfrontend" but your audio sync will be varying degrees of broken
[21:18:28] ** justinh wonders what the chances of retrieving data from db fragments are **
[21:18:45] skd5aner: justinh: what happened?
[21:18:49] skd5aner: crashed DB or fs?
[21:18:52] justinh: crashed
[21:19:00] justinh: oops / crashed
[21:19:10] qfx: His name starts with H... I'm just not sure the rest of the characters.
[21:19:10] qfx: Default install of suse 11.2 includes pulse-audio (I assume for flash?) and the rpm from packman doesn't have support. I had been working from source before.
[21:19:10] qfx: Also default install managed to make me pull my hair out on mythweb, but I haven't done enough investigation to even start asking questions about it
[21:19:10] justinh: corrupted files all over the place, some of them db tables
[21:19:11] skd5aner: you said on xfs?
[21:19:20] justinh: skd5aner: no, root was ext3
[21:19:26] iamlindoro: qfx: Flash doesn't need pulseaudio
[21:19:37] qfx: My assumptions steering me astray again!
[21:19:38] skd5aner: eh, that sucks
[21:19:46] ** skd5aner knocks on wood **
[21:19:57] justinh: skd5aner: many power failures today, and I was busy using it at the time
[21:20:02] skd5aner: been very luck with my HDs in all my mythboxes
[21:20:15] justinh: my backup script hadn't run since april
[21:20:19] skd5aner: heh
[21:20:33] justinh: and my UPS monitor wasn't working either
[21:20:54] skd5aner: Yea – my backup script runs, but it no longer syncs to my other machine, just another HD in the same one – so I've only got minimal protection right now, need to fix that
[21:21:41] justinh: if the db was smaller or my internet was faster I'd upload it to the internet

[21:34:04] dougt: what in mythtv/* depends on ffmpeg? is it just mythweb (for streaming)
[21:37:45] dougt: oh... i can answer my own question: http://dougt.org/mythmxr/mythtv-trunk/search?string=ffmpeg
[21:38:36] iamlindoro: nuvexport, mythweb, and a couple other spots require actual ffmpeg, giant core portions of myth require the libraries from ffmpeg (which we import, so they are not dependencies)
[21:38:55] iamlindoro: well, and mythweb only "requires" it if you turn on the sompletely unsupported flash streaming
[21:39:01] iamlindoro: er completely
[21:44:11] qfx: I prefer sompletely... it's like some of it is completely....

[21:50:15] dougt: right, just the plugins
[21:50:18] iamlindoro: mytharchive may call it in a couple of spots, mythweb only for flash streaming, and some scripts use it-- but none of the core
